Geese - Getting Killed
95

Beautiful start, Beautiful middle, beautiful end. I gave this my first listen on the long car ride home from my dad’s place one evening, and it brought me to tears. Idk why but it was so perfect in that moment. MOVING album. Getting Killed is my AOTY easy

Jamie Paige - BIRDBRAIN

I love this song a lot lol do I get into vocaloid

Gorillaz - Damascus
70

Personally my least fav single so far, that might just be a recency thing tho. I have to let it grow on me a little more like The God Of Lying did. Still good though and it’s cool they’re kinda mixing back in their hip-hop roots

Gorillaz - The God of Lying
75

The most underrated single so far imo. I love the mysterious vibe and how off the tone is. It’s like evil Plastic Beach

Gorillaz - The Manifesto
95

My fav single for The Mountain so far. Dude try bumping this max volume driving alone, it’s like freeing or smth idk it’s a sick feeling

Gorillaz - The Happy Dictator
90

Such a vibe-y song. I’d take this alone over 90% of Cracker Island lol

Hazbin Hotel - Hazbin Hotel: Season Two (Original Soundtrack)
60

DEFINITELY better than season 1. First review in ages so this is gonna be kinda dull fyi. Anyway I do enjoy the show (in a way) but I’m not huge on the soundtrack, a lot of songs come out too dull imo. Definitely some high highs but also a lot of low lows. There’s a few standouts and Christian Borle is always cool no matter what he’s in. Best one is definitely Once We Get Up There.

Descendents - Milo Goes to College
90

MORE than deserving of the hype. :) I’ve really only heard of The Descendants by name before hearing this, but their music is sooo addictive, I’ve relistened to this at least 7 times before rating haha. Not only did they make one of the best punk anthems of all time (Suburban Home), but also one of the most recognizable punk logos too (Milo). Just about every song on here is memorable. Somehow they achieved that with only a handful of songs being over 2 minutes. Obviously some of ... read more

Definitely liked this more than his other album, it’s a shame he won’t be making any more though. :( I really liked how fast it switches from fast paced songs with heavier guitar to slower and acoustic songs, even though I much prefer the fast paced ones. I’ve also always really like the text-to-speech quotes in Wifiskeletons music, they’re really unique and add a lot of personality to the song. However, I’d totally extend some of these songs if I could. Only 1 ... read more

Lambrini Girls - Who Let the Dogs Out

Chaotic and fun modernized punk awesomeness. :) Who Let The Dogs Out pokes at a lot of modern issues and annoyances in the daily life, including some that should really be talked about more. Aside from the political aspects though, the music itself is amazing. Hardcore, raw, and punk. Cool shit. This is the kind of music some people nowadays need blasted into their ears and I love it for that. “OFFICER WHAT SEEMS TO BE THE PROBLEMMM?!”🗣️ Favs are Cuntology 101, Love, and Bad ... read more

Drab Majesty - An Object in Motion

Veeery interesting to say the least. I love the ambience of most of the album. It’s creepy, but beautiful in a way. Yield To Force put me at a weird ease for its insane 15 min runtime. “The spatial divide of the skin and the glove, Is the same as the ride from below to above.” Haunting. The best way I can describe this album is by calling it an acquired taste, but ig I aquire it. Fav was The Skin And The Glove🖤

A Flock of Seagulls - A Flock of Seagulls
75

Great listen, but not too much more than that. A Flock Of Seagulls self titled was a very enjoyable listen, but I can’t see myself ever going back to it besides a handful of songs. It has its fair share of issues, noticeably lyrically. A lot of the songs just consist of saying the song title repeatedly, and for the most part that’s it. It just feels a little uninspired is all. There’s some insanely high-highs here (I Ran and Space Age Love Song) but I feel that makes it harder ... read more

Viagra Boys - viagr aboys

Omg these lyrics are fucking hilarious. I love the satirical and meta aspect of this album as a whole, it’s got a lot of “fuck everyone” energy and it’s amazing. Not to mention just the quality of the music in general. The guitar sounds great, and the synth and other sounds of instruments I can’t even recognize sound so unique and powerful. Every song is oozing personality too, even the lesser ones are still great. I haven’t listened to that many of this ... read more

I used to love this guys music. :) It’s not perfect, but I respect the effort. I like the post-punk instrumentals and I’ve always loved the rasp for the vocals. I think it’s super cool how the angry vocals and more calming instrumentals contrast. The overall quality could still use some work though, either way I’m excited for his album soon :) excited to see how much he’s changed since Sleez. Favs were Hate., CAROLINE, and Crumbled🖤

Wunderhorse - Midas
85

One of the best albums of 2024, my final ranking for the year would’ve been so different if I heard this then instead of now. :( Genuinely though, Midas was amazing. Every note played has so much impact and emotion, you can really tell the passion that went into making the album. It reminds me loads of Fontaines and Radiohead in some ways which are great too. Wunderhorse is still a newer band, but I think they have a great future ahead of them. :) Favs were Arizona, July, and Silver🖤

Franz Ferdinand - Franz Ferdinand

Loved this! I’ve been wanting to listen to this for a while now after hearing Human Fear but crying my eyes out over the Cyberpunk show kinda sold it for me. I love the funkiness and personality this album has, it’s almost nostalgic in a way, even though I wasn’t even alive when it released. Glad I didn’t let my bad impression of Human Fear choose how I feel about the band as a whole, they’re pretty sweet :) Favs are Take Me Out, This Fire, and Micheal🖤

Nirvana - Bleach

The only Nirvana album I haven’t heard til now, and it’s pretty good. :) Bleach has a really raw and “grungy” sound, which is great, but in general it just doesn’t stand up to Nevermind or In Utero. I definitely loved a few songs, but there were so many sleepers too. I can totally respect it as one of the greatest bands of all times debut, I don’t wanna bash it too hard. I still like it, it just needed a bit of work. I can totally see why it’s not ... read more

Dead Kennedys - Fresh Fruit for Rotting Vegetables

WOW!! I think this is already one of my new fav punk rock albums, like oat. Wow this is amazing, this is the most hardcore shit I've ever heard. This is exactly what I’ve been needing lately and I’m so glad I listened. I can’t believe I’ve gone so long without getting into one of the most quintessential punk bands ever, it was more than worth it. GOOD SHIT. Favs were California Über Alles and Chemical Warfare🖤

Sex Pistols - Never Mind the Bollocks, Here's the Sex Pistols
70

One of the most influential punk albums and punk bands of all time, and they both still hold up to this day :) The lyrics sent a message, and I can only imagine how some people could’ve reacted to them back in the day lol. The Sex Pistols inspired so many. Favs were Bodies and Anarchy In The U.K.🖤
