Soooo scrambled quality wise but the really really great songs are weighed down too hard by the really really bland ones :/ (Favs were Standing By The Shore, We Are The People, Delta Bay, and Tiger By My Side)
She sounds like Marceline lol. This album was great, super diverse and beautifully gothic. Fav was Warplane🖤
The most 90’s thing I’ve ever heard and it’s amazing. The lyrics are soooooooooooo cheesy and some of the riffs are repetitive but it's too fun for me to complain. :) I love it haha. Favs are Americana and Why Don’t You Get A Job.🖤
The most basic rock I’ve ever heard and that’s not an understatement. Pretty fun though, the lyrics fell a bit flat but that’s ok
For Weezers pretty mid reputation, the Red Album isn’t that bad. I liked a few songs like Pork And Beans and Thought I Knew but they really don’t stand out all that much when looking at the bigger picture. Idk, it’s just not that interesting to me when I actually think about it, but if I’m just vibing it’s pretty sweet lol.
This album makes me feel like that one Invincible quote where Omni-Man is like “I think…. I miss my wife”🗣️🗣️ it’s pretty solid ig idfk what to say other than I like it lol
Very enjoyable, the best part is definitely the haunting bass lines. This album does have some of their best songs also, it’s pretty solid I’d say. :)
Definitely not as bad as people make it out to be, but something’s just… off? Idk what it is. I’ve heard some people say it’s the lack of originality, but honestly I don’t hear it. I mean, I guess I do for a few songs but I don’t think that’s worth generalizing the entire album to be unoriginal. I completely understand it being a letdown though, as it came after Faith and Pornography (2 amazing records). It’s not insufferable, it’s still ... read more
Idk, it just doesn’t stick out that much too me. It was pretty boring, and far from their best work. It’s still passable though lol
I didn’t even know this existed until a few days ago lol. Chaos For The Fly is definitely a different style compared to Grian's work with Fontaines, but it still keeps the same vibe. (Side note but you can see the sound of Romance originate a lot from here). I don’t feel like talking too much about it ngl because it’s late and I’m tired but if you like Fontaines, you’ll love this🖤
I was surprised by how unserious most of this album was compared to their other work, but it’s a great time overall. I do feel that the singer is pretty bland/emotionless sounding here, but he’s still inexperienced and I can excuse it because of that. Most of the songs are pretty decent at best but overall it’s just fun album that probably isn’t meant to be taken that serious, so there’s not much to complain about :) Favs are Boys In The Better Land and Big🖤
Definitely their most emotional, but not perfect. I feel like the majority of the songs could be removed as they’re too basic or unoriginal. A lot of them sound too similar and the repetitive lyrics + basic singing just add to that, Grians vocals are getting noticeably better than what they were on Dogrel though. The album is still solid in general and there’s definitely a few amazing standouts, but there was still some work to be done. They fixed all of these issues though in their ... read more
Welcome back yet again Peter Murphy!! :))) This is a great song! However, it reminded me more of a Bauhaus song than a Peter Murphy song haha, but that’s a good thing.🖤
SUCH a great album!! This is the only Kendrick album I’ve heard so far (saving T.P.A.B. for its birthday soon) but I’ve been told it’s his safest. If this is his safest, then I’m more than excited to hear what he does with the rest of his discography. :))) Favs are GOD. And PRIDE.
Edit: I’ve heard GNX too lol I forgot
WOW. Ok maybe it’s recency bias, but I enjoyed this more than Madvillainy (A.K.A. MY FAVORITE HIPHOP/RAP ALBUM EVER). I know they’re not trying to be the same thing, but WOW this album was just so perfect, everything just kinda hits. It’s so jumpy and fun and I really just had a great time with it all. :))) Well, I guess this is my new fav Hiphop/rap album then. Weird.
Loved this! I loved the experimental aspects of the production and the lyrics were really deep and thought provoking. It’s a super unique album and I’m more than glad I was recommended it :)
