zushi is a formulation of many genres. its a really weird experience. i think this album is the definition of hit or miss. overall a very enjoyable listen
following around the fur, this album strays away from what was previously successful as they go for a more experimental, different approach. white pony features less screamy vocals, bolder artistic themes, and in some cases is a tripper experience. this album fully cemented deftones' ability to create something sonically cinematic
this MIGHT be kanye's best album. super concise in only 10 tracks; it's brash, abrasive, and straightforward; with the perfect amount of harmony and beauty mixed in with it (on sight interlude, new slaves outro, blood on the leaves, guilt trip outro, bound 2, etc). goes even harder when playing the cd too
i listened to this a while ago and somehow didnt really get the hype, i liked other radiohead albums more. but after a relisten this is definitely one of their best albums. i cant decide if its their best but its up there.
really fun album. not meant to be taken too seriously. i prefer other stuff in the UK underground but this is a really promising first album and i look forward to his next works
its really not that good. wish and better was okay. feels like its trying to be something its not. and that katy perry cover is probably top 10 worst songs ever. just listen to duster instead
been meaning to get to this earlier because its frank ocean and because of the whole 'def jam heist'. this album has so many interludes/filler (which isnt even a bad thing because they're all beautiful) but when it gets good it gets REALLY good. as soon as you get past these interludes, you get to some of frank's best stuff yet. some people say this is better than blonde, but i personally dont see that. wish it was more accessible.
reviewing this as the reissue (with adam, sarah, 16 mirrors) as they are some of my favourites from this. this album is amazing and has very few skips for me. he always plays the guitar so well and his whiny vocals fit it beautifully. i think i prefer DSU to this but its still very close.
such a good album that creates a summer feeling, but i feel like some songs could've been developed and progressed further to bring it closer to the 100
really special album. the sound is abstract, experimental and earl's lyricism is super good and really deep
didnt really like this on the first listen, but its quickly grew on me and its definitely a classic
its a pretty good album. repetitive after the first few songs but it doesnt really get boring. feel like this works best as standalone songs added to a playlist rather than a full album run through
i went into this open minded, but i feel like his vocals dont fit the genre, and hes desperately trying to replicate something he isnt. the production sounds expensive, which i find is somehow a flaw in this album as it sounds overproduced, and its like hes running after a train in terms of vocals and production. for youtuber music, ive heard worse. but its not exactly good either.
