All the songs sound very similar to one another but somehow the album still feels complete and even diverse.
fav. song: Coldest Winter
Gotta be the best UK-rapper out there
fav. song: Introvert
I don't get the concept of this this but can still enjoy it for just being good trap music.
fav. song: SIRENS
Has a very unique aesthetic which can only be discribed by the album cover. Kanye at his most vulnerable.
fav. song: Roses
The production can be really good sometimes but when it isn't, it's very easy to see that Uzi is just not a good rapper.
fav. song: The Way Life Goes
Starts off strong but gets kinda boring along the way.
fav. song: I Don't Like
It has a lot of filler in the back and a lot of good stuff in the front. Every track is either fantastic or boring as hell.
fav. song: L$D
Very diverse in quality.
fav. song: New God Flow
Absolutely insane album. Crazy beats, bars and flows. Great pacing and many small details that add a lot.
fav. song: Shut Yo Bitch Ass Up / Muddy Waters
As someone who doen't really listen to Rock music, I'm really glad he decided to make a Psychodelic / Pop kind of album. But even from an objective POV, Kevin was really just an average Rock musician. I think he really found his sound with Currents. Obviously, this is Tame Impala's most popular and accessible album, but I really do think it's also his best, simply because of how ambitious and, to a certain degree, even experimental it is. What I really love about Currents is ... read more
It's a diverse, melodic and very enjoyable record that shows off Rocky's versatility.
fav. song: Phoenix
It's the perfect follow-up to Igor beacause Tyler doesn't dive too deep into one specific genre just to overdo it. He goes back to rapping over heavy beats but more importantly he doesn't take himself too seriously. He doesn't bother with a concept album and even invites Dj Drama as a host, which makes the listen even more fun.
fav. song: JUGGERNAUT
Birds works great as a Travis Scott side project, diversifying his discography in between the more ambitious projects. The album has some of Travis' best moments to date, experementing with psychodelic, melodic production and amazing flows. This set the groundwork for Astroworld.
fav. song: sdp interlude
Just when you start to think a song isn't really going anywhere, a sample so angelic comes around, it fixes all your problems in life.
fav. song: HOUSTONFORNICATION
Metro and 21 just work really well together.
fav. song: Many Men
KIDS SEE GHOSTS feels like a refreshment in Kanye's discography aswell as a standout in Cudi's. It works great as a collab album, because this sound is new to both artists so it doesn't feel like one of them took full creative liberty. Another great thing about the album is how engaging it is. It's short as whole, with every individual track also not being pushed beyond what what it needs to be, resulting in an album that keeps my TikTok attention span entertained throughout ... read more
Cole took a lot of influence from many different people and it turned out quite nice.
