i relistened and while i understand why it didnt fully stick with me, it isnt as good as beatopia but it has a really strong tracklist with good song after good song it doesn't feel as cohesive sonically as an album, which was something i felt beatopia did really well.

really roughly mixed with some bangers every now and then, vocals are kinda bad throughout most of it (most likely due to mixing), but her instrumental work stayed strong through the entire thing

original: I found this obnoxious at some points but had fun through most of it

my first listen was when i was just getting into pop i think this might have been like the second pop album i listened to, and what i found obnoxious then was just some really fucking catchy choruses, off a relisten this is a really strong pop record with a consistent sound throughout the entire thing

this group manages to capture what i love about bm and bcnr perfectly while also not requiring me to be depressed or create an anxiety attack to listen to it

Im a saturation listener mainly but their later albums try so much different its refreshing

There are songs i like but i find it quite disappointing especially because she has made a name for herself in making enthusing pop music and she comes out with a decent pop album with zero spice

What if the song was a sample and some boring vocals, that would be a cool gimmick

black midi breaking up was good

while its sad the chance of seeing them live is low their breakup was necessary, maybe black midi was like the guide in terraria, an essential part n progress (and useful) but for the most part useful when you throw it in lava to begin a new chapter.

i need relistens before i can say for certain but this is definitively in the AOTY conversation

Was tapped into monecraft so consuled this in the backgromd but i paid well enouh attention to form an opinion

While Frailty was very noisy and glitchy this album was as noisy but lacked some of the very glotchy sounds ehich was some of my favorite from frailty, but still great overall

i absolutely love the noisy production on this album

i can see myself replaying this alot

god i love albums which slay this hard instrumentally
