I used this album for study music at first and then I realized it's really good. Vegyn's production is ethereal, catchy and deceptively simple. It’s much more digestible than his previous outing, coming in at just 16 tracks and 40 minutes, compared to the monstrous 71 tunes that made up “Text While Driving if you Want to Meet God”. This album is just gorgeous. It’s very simple, songs usually consist of no more than a few instruments and Joan’s voice: which sounds like it’s simultaneously right in your ear and an ocean away. Like the River Loves the Sea reminds me of an album my parents used to play me when I was a kid. This is like a drain gang Christmas album
it's the same sound palette but instead of feeling like a rainy futuristic city it feels like sitting by the fire watching snow fall

This needs to be on more people's radar this is still one of the most insane releases I've ever heard.
