Close to perfection, but honestly the quiet before the coming of the storm can drag on a bit too long at times.
I got flashbacked to driving on Nevada Highway at 250 mph with this.
Edit: Man the slow songs need to go, kills the momentum and potential for this to be a 9+ album.
We are so back, first half is just flat-out amazing, from disco/synth and electronic combinations to 'Generator' being a worthy successor to 'Stress'. Second half is admittedly more just good to great, but the 2 halves balance out to a 9/10 for me, had this album on repeat for the past few weeks by now.
Arguably the last great Tears for Fears album, and hell yeah, the last dreamy send-off has some amazing stuff here.
Glad the expanded edition also expanded the number of crabs 🦀🦀🦀
Almost a ten, but LAKE and ORANGE bois kinda umm, hmm. But I fixed it :)
Can't stop obsessing over this dark R&B/synthpop style.
Best Tracks: No Apology!, Attention Politician, Super KO Love
Worst Track: Distractions III: Spoiled Rotten
Goofy ahh standing in the field next to a hologram Temple.
Best Tracks: Move with the Season, Sand Dance, Colours to Life, Keep in the Dark
This trophy is mine now.
Also if you think this is the darkest sounding stuff, wait until you hear 11:51 from 'How to gut a Fishie'.
I'm still going to school late because I had too much chop suey last night!
Best Tracks: Chop Suey!, X, Psycho
Sounds a bit more HD innit over my 2007 Thinkpad speakers that eventually died from a fried motherboard in 2008. Thanks Obama, now I'm stuck with an Acer Atom powered netbook that can barely do jack.
Me when they actually decide to keep us edging for 9 minutes on Moonchild...
No this is isn't just a plug for the Jojo meme, genuinely amazing album especially considering its age.
Best Tracks: Roundabout (duh), South Side of the Sky, Mood for a Day, Heart of the Sunrise
Penis Music: Five Per Cent for Nothing
Edit: From 90 to 95 because I can't get over how insane the production and speed of this album is. Has incredibly aged and quite the opposite of sounding musty and anything remotely from the 70s. This can release TODAY and no one would bat an eye at its age.
