Kanye West and Kid Cudi have a great chemistry together. Their respective styles mesh so well they create a genuinely unique and beautiful sounding hip-hop record.
Out of all the Good Music release so far DAYTONA is probably the most consistent sound-wise, but KSG has the higher highs.
It seems like with every new release Kanye is ditching fully-realized tracks in place of more surprising but rushed out and unfinished projects like Ye. With some of the lyrics referencing recent events and a track like "Ghost Town" obviously intended to appear on his next album with Cudi, you can tell he put together this album only weeks before release.

DAYTONA doesn't break much new ground and it isn’t even a particularly ambitious, but it demonstrates what both Pusha T and Kanye West do best in an admirably minimal and highly replayable set of seven songs. This is a strong start for a series of releases from Kanye and his record label GOOD Music.
I appreciate Rocky experimenting with his music, but it seems aimless and all over the place. That being said, there are some songs I like on here such as Buck Shots, Praise The Lord and Purity.
First impressions: The songs are all good, but the vocal melodies he uses over these instrumentals are a bit bare and feel low-effort compared to his previous releases. I think it's supposed to be a sequel to honey bear since he makes a lot of references to staying at a hotel by himself and contemplating suicide.
Edit: After more listens my opinion hasn't changed much. It's a decent record.
