Kirk Franklin - The Nu Nation Project

This album is honestly really beutiful. Underrated i would say

Porter Robinson - SMILE! :D
NR

Im getting some emo vibes from this. I really love it also I love Year of the Cup. No way its lowest rated on this album. So fire. Did not enjoy Kitsune Maison Freestyle. Pretty intense album lowpoint IMO.

Chet Baker - Chet Baker Sings

This album is so beutiful. His voice is so warm and calming. The instrumentals give me a sense of cool tranquility. He talks about love and relationships in such a beutiful and thoughtful way. Its not nearly as objectifying as so much of music in this vein and time period. Its emotionally vulnerable and thats something that is so important and something that somehow a lot of men still view as weakness. This is truly beautiful and in my limited experience peak vocal jazz.

Bright Eyes - I'm Wide Awake, It's Morning

I love this album. The vocals are so beutifual and sometimes haunting. The lyrics are amazing. I love the duets and the instruments. Perfect indie folk album IMO

Ministry - ΚΕΦΑΛΗΞΘ [Psalm 69: The Way to Succeed and the Way to Suck Eggs]

This album is a complete mess and I absolutely love it for that. The vocals are all over the place but I will say the guitars are pretty constantly heavy. The instrumentals really are consistent and hold the absurd vocals together in a really delicate and surprisingly successful balance.

Mastodon - Leviathan

Im definitely not in love with the vocals. Sometimes they are good but the instrumentals really carry this album for me. I also somehow feel like the sounds are belonging together too much. It makes it hard for me to focus on it. Im not sure exactly why it sounds like that too me. Just feels dull

Paramore - brand new eyes
92

Really enjoyed this album. Suprised about how much I enjoyed the slower songs. Overall amazing

Geese - Getting Killed
95

I fucking love this. Its so funky and sentimental. The instruments and vocals just really strike something in me. This is one of those albums I've put of listening for god knows why. Glad I finally got around to listening to it. Definitely top 5 of this year.

Burzum - Filosofem

First 3 tracks are insane. Steep fall after that though. Plus the guy is evil so thats not great

Ulver - Bergtatt – Et eeventyr i 5 capitler

This album is nearly perfect. The atmosphere is intense but there are wonderful moments of tranquility and calm. It complements itself so beautifully. I really really love this music and I'm so glad that after a couple years of trying to get into it I have finally broken through.

Porter Robinson - Nurture
96

I really love this album. Its just very sweet to me. The vibes are immaculate and it just gives me a very warm and fuzzy feeling. Only one song I dont love, everything else is great

OutKast - Aquemini
NR

Its not clicking. I definitely feel like I will need to return to this one o few times. There are parts a love and the writing is amazing. Just sonically its not clicking how I hoped

Knocked Loose - A Tear in the Fabric of Life

The vocals are so fucking harsh, the instrumentals are so heavy, and the lyrics are just vile. Fucking love it.

Pierce The Veil - Collide with the Sky
93

Im not really sure what to say. I really like this but it feels super basic. And thats ok I guess. Definitely stronger in the first half.

Kanye West - Yeezus

Really amazing start. Overall very good but I still thought I would like this more

KIDS SEE GHOSTS - KIDS SEE GHOSTS
85

Overall amazing. Couple strange low point though. Still great though

Willie Nelson - Red Headed Stranger

The ballads are so amazing on this album. His voice is so perfect. It can be nice a buttery but the perfectly raspy. Also lyrically there are multiple amazing moments. Overall this is an amazing album.

2hollis - gold

Definitely in my top 3 2hollis songs. Absolutely fire

Psychedelic Revolution - Revolution 1

Like many here the guy who seemingly made this reached out to me on reddit. I really like it a lot. Sometimes the vocals feel a bit separated from the instrumental but that issue was minimal to me. Could use some more instrumental filling at points and the guitar could use some work. Overall great stuff. Definitely very good

Sematary & Ghost Mountain - HUNDRED ACRE WRIST HOSTED BY DJ SORROW
88

Im having a bit of trouble really clicking with the vocals but overall I really do like it. The instrumentals specifically are great to me. Very gritty and the producer tags are absolutely amazing.

Like you liking the sound of the album that's one thing, but seeing this music as mature makes me think you don't understand what maturity is.
