A nice collection of tracks that don’t feel like throwaways at all. They’re a nice complement to the already great CMIYGL tracklist. The real standout is obviously “Sorry Not Sorry.” It’s a masterful track that shows Tyler letting down his guard and exposing his most vulnerable side while seemingly also functioning as a lead-in to whatever he has planned next.
Well this project just further solidifies Peggy as one of the best producers in the game. His ear for samples is one of the best around and his signature chaotic style is pure candy for the ears. The mix is obviously a polarizing subject among listeners and whether it’s intentional or not, I personally think it just builds on the raw aesthetic of the project and adds another layer to it. Babytron’s charisma and personality is undeniable. His punchlines are great and he knows how to pick beats that match his energy and style. Obviously 26 tracks of Babytron is way too much but in the right doses and without taking it too seriously, his music can be pretty damn fun.
Even with a spotty mix, this is heat. I can definitely see my rating going up once the mix is fixed.
