Definitely cannibal corpse’s grooviest album. Has the technical brilliance that later corpse albums would have- while also being a perfect in-between for the vocals. I don’t mind Chris Barne’s more clear voice on this record- it really works for songs like ‘Fucked with a knife’ and ‘Stripped, Raped, And Strangled’. This is a fast, brutal and technically brilliant death metal classic! 9/10.
It’s classic Black Sabbath! Ozzy writes some amazing stuff on this album- to the badass ‘sweet leaf’, to the stomping ‘Children Of The Grave’! I really like the slower moments on the album as well- including the two instrumentals and the dismal but gorgeous ‘Solitude’. Honestly, I find this album to be crazily underrated! Some of Black Sabbath’s best work!
A stellar record. Influential, laid back and has some great word-play! Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg make for an amazing duo on this!
Not a masterpiece of rock or anything, but the stuff that stands out REALLY stands out. Plus, it has two of the greatest songs in rock of all time(Sweet Emotion, Walk This way), so that help.
Favorites: Uncle Salty, Toys In The Attic, Sweet Emotion, Walk This Way.
Hard, fast thrash metal with kick-ass guitarist, great drumming and a killer vocalist! It has its fair share of slower songs too- and while I prefer ‘A Vulgar Display Of Power’, this album still has killer tracks- with stuff like ‘Cowboys from hell’, ‘Domination’ and ‘Cemetery Gates’. Excellent Album!
