When can I expect my "I survived 2 hours of morgan wallen" medal to arrive in the mail?
Cozy yet expansive, these vocals are so comforting, perfectly clashing with the instrumental across this LP making for a very very pleasing listen on the ears.
kmoe has been putting out great singles since 2021 and with the arrival of his debut album finally upon us in the year 2025 it was easily one of my most anticipated records and it….. LIVED UP to my hype. This thing is fantastic I don’t think I’ve heard shoegaze fuse with the electronic elements of digicore so well before. Deadair are on an insane run
Very consistent and a very pleasing and expansive atmosphere which is to be expected from the band but I found myself stuck trying to pick out any highlights or moments from the record that stood out to me. In a way that allowed for a very serene and peaceful listen the whole way through but man it does not live up to it's predecessor at all.
This album took me by surprise, you can definitely see the early workings of the masterpiece that is Loveless but at this point the band was still very much in touch with the more conventional aspects of rock music, the prominent bass, much less distortion, thinner texture, vocals which you can actually understand etc. and while it wasn’t bad it really stripped away the magic of what makes My Bloody Valentine so wonderful. Still there were a few highlights and this is a landmark album ... read more
The windmill fucking does it again. Honestly, how is it possible that a pub in England is churning out the best rock music we’ve seen since the 90s and some of the best stuff in the world right now? Make it make sense.
absolutely gorgeous atmosphere and those vocals are just so so so serene. Amazing album
Cool loose collection of tracks, some quite obviously more complete than others as at the end of the day they’re demos but it was still fun and very very Lo-fi which is always fun
My friend recommended this to me and did NOT prepare me at all for the emotional toll this would have on me. First of all, Rest easy Kai, suicide at 17 is fucking horrible and the world is worse without you in it, thank you for this gift you left us with. And as for the gift, it’s really great. I love the lo-fi intimacy of the EP and his softly sung vocals are just chilling, this thing was almost scary at certain points given the circumstances surrounding it. Truly one of the saddest ... read more
Joy Division's 'Closer' is an eerie album especially considering the context of lead singer Ian Curtis' untimely death, making for a pretty haunting listen. But unfortunately the album just feels incomplete with the first 5 songs really not doing anything for me.
While I may have failed to connect with side A of the record I did thoroughly enjoy the side B making for a strange listen all around but something I can ultimately respect. 'The Eternal' specifically is ... read more
It's surprisingly decent for a tape made in 3 days but you can definitely see that it was made in such a small time frame given the very one note tone across the "mix"tape. That being said her energy is palpable and this is fun if you don't try taking it too seriously.
Holy shit this album is beautiful, varied and pretty the whole way through also these features are so great, Peggy absolutely annihilates his verse and Quadeca's solo song 'Abandon Me' is my favourite on the whole album not to mention he executively produced the whole thing. Not to discredit Kevin of course he also shined the whole way through really good release
I dared to go above 50% volume for half a second and exploded my right ear drum. Thank you Merzbow
Takes what they were doing on Master of Reality and does it slightly worse signaling the small and incremental fall from grace Black Sabbath would experience in the coming years, the drums really shine on this album but unfortunately there aren't many standout tracks like a 'Children of the grave' or 'N.I.B' to make it as memorable as those previous records, still they changed up their sound just enough to sound fresh introducing more psych elements with their best ... read more
First and foremost. Rest in peace to the Ozzy Osbourne a true legend in every sense of the word and a monumental force who changed music forever..
Black Sabbath's third album sees them at their most ✨whimsical✨ with absolutely gorgeous instrumental tracks like 'Orchid' and 'Solitude' but don't let that fool you. They're still here going as hard as ever with chugging riffs and killer vocals across the whole record. Ozzy is in his prime on this record with ... read more
My friend recommended this album to me with very little ability to describe what it was I was about to hear due to him being lost for words and I can see why. The song 'The North' is fucking unbelievable.
