Forgot to review this to be honest, but i mean it's Illmatic lol, not much i can say that hasn't already been said. Obviously some of the best rapping you'll ever hear, phenomenal lyricism and story-telling, all spit over some amazing boom-bap production.

Forgot to review this, it's pretty cool. Some of the songs really feel like they drag for way too long and are way too repetitive but there's some worthwhile highlights off here.
Favorite Track(s): "Bloom", "Morning Mr Magpie", "Feral", "Lotus Flower".
Least Favorite Track(s): "Little By Little"
(listened to this album a while ago but never got around to reviewing it)
An incredibly manic, experimental, and disturbed album from Danny Brown, and a record unlike anything i've ever heard before honestly.
The line about being able to sell honey to a bee on "Aint it Funny" really is true, because I feel like Danny could rap on literally any kind of audio and sell it to me.

It's actually pretty good honestly! Surprisingly as a Kendrick fan, his features were genuinely the worst parts of the album pretty consistently, which was a bit dissapointing, but overall this album has some pretty catchy song writing, good production, and strong and versatile performances from keem.
Favorite Track(s): "Ca$ino", "I am not a lyricist", "$ex Appeal".
Least Favorite Track(s): "Good Flirts", "House Money".
A warm feeling embrace of an album and an absolutely beautiful listen.

Not sure why this isn't often brought up in the same conversation as Radioheads other albums, easily their most experimental LP, and a makes for a really interesting listen pretty much the whole way through, I really like it.

Pretty easily my favorite LP from the dive I've been doing into Radiohead's Discography. Probably the most forward-thinking and ahead of it's time listen, even more-so than OK Computer IMO. I don't think there's really a single weak track on this, I pretty much loved everything I heard on this album.

Ye finally releases his long awaited album "Bully", and it's honestly... significantly better than i expected. To be blunt, after hearing Vultures 2 I genuinely think Ye didn't have a single good song left in him, but before track 12, the songs actually do range from pretty good to great, and actually have some Yeezus and early college trilogy vibes.
That being said, HOLY FUCK does the tracklist fall off after White Lines. Circles is genuinely unlistenable and I have no ... read more
It's really good but I think I prefer the bends honestly. That being said, this album definitely reaches higher highs, i just think the vocal mixing on a lot of the tracks is kind of lacking, (even while seeming like a somewhat stylistic decision, i dont think it works super well) and a few stretches can feel a little uninteresting and boring.

I like it a lot! huge step-up from pablo honey in practically every feasible way, really good album.

Pretty cool psychedelic rock record that really picks up in it's second half. I'm not too crazy about the first two tracks but they aren't even bad in any sense, just a bit weaker compared to the rest of the tracklist.
Favorite Track(s): "Laputa", "CUT".
Least Favorite Track(s): "D>E>A>T>H>M>E>T>A>L"
Another project from MGK that feels less like a LP and more like an endurance test for how long you can listen to mediocre pop punk drivel before you say enough is enough and turn it off.
favorite track(s): nothing inside(still fucking sucks but at-least the instrumental is OK)
least favorite track(s): "WWIII", "play this when i'm gone"
Haven't really listened to any speed-core albums before, and this was definitely a great introduction to the genre! My only real problem with this album, is that having the entire track-list be super high bpm energetic songs can get a little exhausting, and result in it almost feeling like a workout to listen to the entire LP. That being said, that's more of a me problem and isn't really a fault of the album itself, really enjoyed this.

An incredibly impressive and slept-on debut from one of the most critically acclaimed rappers of the modern era.
While Section 80 has some somewhat sonically outdated cuts, it's incredibly high highs easily make up for the areas it lacks in, offering some of Kendrick's best songs to date.

Some of the most on-point storytelling and writing you will ever see on any hip-hop album, practically endlessly replayable, and pretty much flawless from a performance and production standpoint.

This album is really great, and to me personally, honestly surpassed my expectations.
In "DON'T BE DUMB", Rocky takes a more genre bending experimental angle, and I think it really works to the album's benefit, with a really strong and consistent tracklist, that feels simultaneously all over the place but still cohesive.
