Since I Left You is an absolutely bonkers listen from start to finish. Every track is a wonderful medley of carefully chosen samples, ranging from modified vocals to... horse noises? Somehow, The Avalanches make it the grooviest shit that'll ever grace your ears. Every track segways perfectly into the next, allowing a continuous, more-than-enjoyable listen. Now that I think about it, I can't imagine the loads of work that went into making this album. So many things about SILY break ... read more
You don't need a lengthy description for this album. Listen to it, I can almost guarantee the music will speak to you. It advocates for itself in such a way that makes any written description seem unfaithful to the actual experience.
10/10 experience, if only there was some snow to lie in during my first listen.
I cannot, in good faith, give this project a rating. It just doesn't seem right given the backstory and circumstances. I usually let the numbers speak for themselves when I rate an album, but obviously, this exists outside of that rule. I don't do it often (because I'm honestly no good at putting my thoughts onto paper), but the contents and topic of "we had good times together, don't forget that" warrant some form of further analysis than just a number.

As I learnt more and more about Slowdive, their undeniable impact on the shoegaze scene (which had a large grasp on me to ... read more
"In 1692, during the witch trials that swept the town of Salem, a man named Giles Corey was accused of wizardry upon baseless claims. Despite the circumstances, he refused to plead. Thus, the court ruled that Giles Corey be subject to death by pressing, where the victim was stripped naked and put between two wooden boards, with boulders placed on one side. During the three days he was being pressed, Giles Corey was asked for a plea; to which he refused, instead asking for more weight. This ... read more

Through my endless doomscrolling of album lists and top user score albums, this one appeared quite often, if not in every list I've come across. I've known Pink Floyd to be unparalleled in terms of influence in the progressive and experimental rock scenes, due to prior knowledge, as well as from many of the short snippets I have found over the years.
And so, here I am with one of Pink Floyd's (and rock in general) most praised records. "Wish You Were Here" ... read more

The indomitable human spirit
Every song on UNDERTALE's soundtrack fits the mood perfectly to the main game, with both comedic and emotional value amplified to their maximum whenever appropriate. There's not much else to say other than this, so
for being kendrick's b-side songs its actually packed with bangers
