Album good! I think I'm gonna leave this site for a while, or forever, I don't know. I've red a lot of cool stuff, seen some cool people, and discovered lots of music I love, but there's a few reasons why I don't want to be here anymore. First off, I think I'm wasting a lot of time here I could be spending doing better things. Second, I've generally been trying to escape the discourse void and the broader internet for a while now, and this site isn't ... read more
Massive Attack and Boards of Canada in the past 48 hours, there is a god somewhere out there
God bless whoever gave this band a TB303 and a Sax because God Break Down The Door is one of the best things NIN have ever done. The rest of the album is also very good, I really want more stuff like this
Thanks to my friend for recommending me this, the Midori sample in BURNMATERIAL goes absolutely INSANE!!!
Haven't listened to a Strokes song in like a year, wish I didn't break my streak honestly
Me when I listen to sad music and continue to be sad 😱😱😱
An apology to Magdalena Bay for when I first listened to this, and immediately passed it off as worse than Mercurial World rather than relistening. I simply did not know ball back then, and I can now safely say this is peak music

Also common pitchfork L.
The musical equivalent of jumping into a river and being peacefully swept into a magical land of joy and whimsy, very good!
This is amazing, but the next album they release is gonna be life-changing mark my words.
Edit: This is already life changing actually. Next album is gonna eviscerate planets
Following up two of my favorite rock albums in recent memory is pretty impossible, so BCNR decided to throw a curve ball by making one of my favorite Pop/ Folk albums I've ever heard. Mind you, I have little experience in either genre, but bravo nonetheless.

The tight performances are here from For The First Time, but they lean way heavier into indie/chamber rock with some of the most stunningly melancholic melodies I've ever heard. The album is also supper cohesive, lyrically and instrumentally each track is distinct but the way they reference and work ... read more
Why the hell did I not listen to this when I was getting into black midi I would've loved this back then. I mean I also love this now, but I still wish I heard it earlier
