the problem is that 'don't be dumb' really makes this feel sub-par to me. it's not perfect, but the new album feels way more inspired than this mixed bag of songs.
there are the occasional bangers and also the moments where he manages to hold onto a nice vibe for a track or a few of them (the last leg is particularly strong), but it's maybe his least impactful project.

like i've actually never been able to get into noise music but like i heard 'hitting the pavement' used in an instagram meme about "what's a 7+ min song that is blah blah blah".
and let me just say this is amazing. crispy as fuck, as varied as you can get for a drone record, and, oddly enough, amazing for concentrating. just stellar overall.
