This album makes you feel like you're cruising down the winding streets of '90s L.A., in your topless lowrider with its classic G-Funk production and Snoop's classic, catchy flows.
I quite enjoyed this album, and it feels like a return-to-form for Eminem, similar to how his 2013 album MMLP2 was.
BEST TRACKS: Stepdad, Godzilla, Lock It Up
WORST TRACKS: Those Kinda Nights, Farewell, Marsh
Hasn't aged too well, but even then, can still be regarded as a classic with all the iconic songs strewn about this album.
BEST TRACKS: Many Men, 21 Questions, Gotta Make It To Heaven
Highly entertaining and fun to listen to, there are no skips on this album for me. Young Thug's unique vocals combined with the summerlike production are an assurance that you'll probably never find an album like this elsewhere.
BEST TRACKS: Wyclef Jean, Pick Up The Phone, Guwop, Webbie
WORST TRACKS: Floyd Mayweather, RiRi
Bored bars- including the ones about sex in every song... but atleast the beats and other contents of the album push it up a little.... just a little.
BEST TRACKS: God Bless Amerika, IANAHB, Days and Days
WORST TRACKS: Hello, Trippy, Wowzerz
A highly experimental project that you either love or hate, and as you can see, I fall into the former.
BEST TRACKS: Blood On The Leaves, Hold My Liquor, Guilt Trip
For what it's worth, this album delivers what you would've thought it delivered- and that is an album full of grimey, hard-hitting UK bangers.
A well-produced album that delivers on its message of God and love. I may have to listen to it a few more times...
A generic project with not much to say about. A few songs are decent, but in majority, it's... well.. generic.
BEST TRACKS: BIG BANK, BOMPTOWN FINEST, SUU WHOOP
WORST TRACKS: PUSSY MONEY FAME, HANDGUN, 666
This mysterious, atmospherically-instrumented project of Denzel Curry's progressively gets darker and darker, consistently showing his creativity and skills.
13EZT TRACKZ: TABOO | TA13OO, SIRENS | Z1RENZ, VENGEANCE | VENGEANCE
Not much tracks stick out of the 25 song tracklist, which itself is full of numerous unpolished tracks that should have stayed unreleased. Poor guy.
BEST TRACKS: Daemons, Royalty, Northstar - Remix
WORST TRACKS: Eat It Up, Hot Gyal
When listening to this posthumous album, it's sad that you can tell that this could have been much better than it came out to be. The mixing in some of the songs is noticeably off, enough to where X's voice is much too quiet. The first two songs, Guardian Angel and Train Food, are actually pretty good songs that were a good choice to release, but the other songs on this album are songs that you can tell were unfinished.
BEST SONGS: Train Food, Guardian Angel, One Minute
WORST SONGS: STARING ... read more
While this album is no doubt influential to today's rap scene, there is not much here to be mesmerized by, as it essentially just boils down to the "money, guns, and hoes" routine. There are definitely some pretty good songs on here, though, especially for Chief Keef's young age at the time.
BEST TRACKS: Love Sosa, Hate Bein' Sober, Diamonds
WORST TRACKS: Kay Kay, Ballin', No Tomorrow
A couple of Chainz' greatest songs are on here, suited with some of his charismatic lines and good production, but what pulls this album down is a large gap of quality between some of the tracks. Some are dull and bad, and some are forgettable.
BEST TRACKS: Black Unicorn, Feds Watching, Beautiful Pain
WORST TRACKS: Netflix, 36, Extra
Over some great atmospheric production, Big Sean plasters this album with meaningful lyrics, a common theme being the possibility of having a wasted life- like a life with a dead-end job that has been the same for decades. Though, it may feel a little boring at times.
BEST TRACKS: Sacrifices, Bigger Than Me, Light
WORST TRACKS: Owe Me, Same Time Pt. 1
Drake steps it up on this 3-track EP with good production, good flows, and good bars. That closing track, especially...
The only thing Soulja accomplishes on this album is..... sounding like a worse version of already mediocre rappers.
I always love to listen to this album, it's such an entertaining one. Though it's inconsistent, it's still packed with good-to-great songs.
BEST TRACKS: Ultralight Beam, Saint Pablo, Wolves
WORST TRACKS: Pt. 2, Feedback
