A short album that delivers a consistent array of songs, all in the style of a radio station playing tracks as they would any other day.
For a soundtrack, this is a pretty good album. I admittedly haven't actually seen the movie itself, but even I can tell how most tracks would fit into the premise of the movie. Some songs here and there are dull and drag on a little, but some stick out more than others.
BEST TRACKS: Black Panther, Opps, Pray For Me
WORST TRACKS: Redemption, Paramedic!, The Ways
Two trap artists come together with a decent collaboration album, and they succeed in creating a few songs that people would get up for.
BEST TRACKS: Astronauts, Fine China, Hard Work Pays Off
WORST TRACKS: 7 AM Freestyle, Different, Ain't Livin Right
It starts off alright, but around halfway into the album, it... well... goes down.
BEST TRACKS: Infinity (888), SAD!, before I close my eyes
WORST TRACKS: $$$, going down!, Floor 555
I listened to this album on its release day, and it's still as great as it was then; I still think this is his best album, as well. Tyler's vocals along with the lush and experimental production / instrumentation make an amazing and immersive experience, fitting the theme of the album like a glove.
A couple tracks stick out, but most of it is just average DJ Mustard-backed west coast club songs.
Skrr Skrr Skrr Skrr Skrr Skrr Skrr Skrr Skrr Skrr Skrr Skrr Skrr Skrr Skrr Skrr Skrr Skrr Skrr Skrr Skrr Skrr Skrr Skrr Skrr Skrr Skrr Skrr
Kanye and Cudi make a phenomenal duo... case in point, this album. All seven tracks make for yet another short, sweet and amazing album packed with great beats and deep themes.
An insane joyride through and through, fitted with deep, atmospheric production. The Weeknd.
This series of albums is a masterpiece in my eyes. In the first stage, multiple tunes are engrained in your mind. Though something seems a little off, it's still a pleasant experience, just as the description says; alike a beautiful daydream. The album progresses more and more, through depressive tracks, confusing tracks, unsettling tracks... all until it becomes a warped, aching mess of static as the music struggles to play. What can I say that hasn't been said before, really..?
Short, sweet, and personal. Starts off alright, ends off great.
BEST TRACKS: No Mistakes, Violent Crimes
WORST TRACKS: All Mine, Yikes
Some songs are terrible, some songs are good, but most are inbetween. Basically, it's a DJ Khaled album.
An amazing experience. The album goes from an intense vibe to a peaceful vibe, and it's quite a journey. The album has great production, and is definitely an overhated album.
With a controversial title, Nas raps good here. Definitely not his best, definitely not his worst.
