Marilyn Manson - Antichrist Superstar
46

I try to make my reviews unbiased, but it becomes hard to separate the art from the artist when the art seems to reflect the artist so much.

The vocals were irritating. More gimmicky than creepy. There were some cool instrumentals, but a lot of it also felt shallow.

Gross album cover. Manson was kinda ahead of his time for getting into crypto during the 90s though ("Cryptorchid").

The best track was "Deformography".

Deep Purple - Machine Head
64

There's a lot of tracks on here that could be very good, but fall short because of some annoying aspect in either the vocals or instrumentals.

My favorite track was "Smoke on the Water".

72

While I do like the individual tracks, they all have such similar sound that the album becomes a bit of a slog to get through.

My favorite track was "Rooster".

Alicia Keys - Songs in A Minor
85

Really good pop soul. Alicia Keys has a great singing voice. First half is all bangers, but it does start to slip in the second half starting with the track "Goodbye".

The worst track was "Mr. Man". The feature was not good and Keys' performance on it wasn't that great either.

It's hard to pick a favorite track, but "Fallin'" probably wins by just a bit.

Run-D.M.C. - Run-D.M.C.

Decent old school hip hop. Although corny, it was interesting to listen to old flows that have died out. Some of the beats were more interesting than I expected.

Air - Moon Safari
51

Why would they go on a safari to the moon? Are they stupid?

The Wailers - Natty Dread
46

Instrumentals sound a little too whimsical and the vocals sound too relaxed for me to take this seriously.

Little Richard - Here's Little Richard
44

Original rock and roll music. Having already listened to "Tutti Frutti" before, I did not have high expectations for this album, but honestly this isn't that bad. It turns out this is one of those albums where the most popular track ("Tutti Frutti") is one of the worst.

Willie Nelson - Stardust
43

Some boring renditions of "popular" American songs no one knows. Only good track was "Georgia On My Mind".

Brian Wilson - SMiLE
44

Corny music similar to show tunes.

Bee Gees - Odessa
52

Not what I expected from the band that made "Stayin' Alive". This album is a unique mix of country rock and weirdly epic orchestral rock. Interesting but nothing that really impressed me.

The Who - Who's Next
67

Pretty good rock album. Sounds surprisingly modern.

Pink Floyd - Wish You Were Here
84

A great sounding album. The title track is wonderfully written and my favorite of the album. Every track was good though the last track dragged on a little a bit.

43

Punk rock with some industrial mixed in

Ananda Shankar - Ananda Shankar
28

Fcking George Harrison man. The sitar has got be near the bottom of "mainstream" instruments. 😴

Alexander
37

The singing is bad and so bland. The instrumentals aren't good either. The only decent track was "Books of Moses".

Metallica - Master of Puppets
56

They must've thought the album title was so tuff when they came up with it 🥀.

Favorite track: "Orion"

The Damned - Machine Gun Etiquette
34

Too much drums and the singing is ass.

Joan Armatrading - Joan Armatrading
74

Closer to soul and blues rock than folk.

Just a good singer-songwriter album. I have no complaints. One thing of note is that Armatrading has an androgynous singing voice which is kinda cool.
