Lexa Gates - Elite Vessel
75

It did take me a few listens for the album to click but when it clicked, it CLICKED. Lexa's flow is freaking amazing and since I love a good mix of rap and jazz, I found this album to be incredible.

JENNIE - Ruby
68

The singles rollout for this album got me really excited for the release and I must say that it didn't disappoint. This is a solid debut that has some really strong songs, while other quite fade in the background for me. The production was crazily good and I think this is an album everyone should check out for themselves.

Favorites: ExtraL, Love Hangover, Damn Right

India.Arie - Acoustic Soul
70

India.Arie's voice is just so soothing. And although I don't think this album is exceptional, this is a decent R&B/Soul project. Would definitely put this in the background to chill.

Favorites: Video, Nature

Vince Staples - Dark Times
76

Okay so I really enjoyed this album and I'll be probably coming back to it someday. The production is impeccable and I found it to be very interesting. I just wish Vince had done something more special with his vocals/flow sometimes (don't get me wrong it's really good). But the whole concepet is really thorough and elevated, which I appreciate.

Favorites: Shame On The Devil, Little Homies

Clairo - Charm
81

Clairo is just always a warm hug on the heart. I fell in love with her music ever since "Sling" and "Charm" feels like an elevated and full version of Clairo. Her style is so unique and she sounds just incredible. One thing about Clairo is that she'll always sing something relatable, in an assuring, yet heart-wrenching way. Love that.

Favorites: Sexy To Someone, Terrapin, Juna, Add Up My Love

FLO - Access All Areas
73

I've been waiting for this one ever since 'Cardboard Box' and FLO did not disappoint! Their debut album is R&B at its finest. The whole record stays consistent and cohesive throughout. Their vocals are impaccable as always. Definitely will be coming back to this.

Favorites: Soft, Check, Caught Up, IWH2BMX, Shoulda Woulda Coulda

Ravyn Lenae - Bird's Eye
80

Bird's Eye is an uniquely smooth record, but I've come not to expect anything less from Ravyn. Her soothing vocals are exquisite and catchy as hell. Every song is special, although some felt too mellow and a bit forgetable. Even though this album has its imperfections, Ravyn Lenae was exteremely robbed of a Grammy nomination in the 'R&B Album Of The Year' category. (considering what else was nominated)

Favorites: Genius, One Wish, Dream Girl, Love Me Not

JT - City Cinderella
68

Although it has some REALLY great tracks, some of them giving that old school rap sound, the rest feels uninspired. I think that JT has a huge potential and she's a one to watch.

Favorites: Intro (Hope), Uncle Al, OKAY, JT Coming

Jae Stephens - SELLOUT
76

It's hard to make a short EP bad, but this fact can't stop us from giving Jae her flowers for giving us an excellent 2000's R&B inspired project. Each song is exteremely catchy and the vibes are just right!

Favorites: WET, Body Favors

Jorja Smith - falling or flying (Reimagined)
72

This feels like a better and more soulful version of the original album and I'm here for it. Some songs still fall flat for me but this project is definitely an improvement.

Favorites: Greatest Gift, Little Things, Feelings

Nala Sinephro - Endlessness
75

This album is a journey. Ambient music mixed with experimental nu jazz could be either an intriguing hit or a boring miss. In this case, it's gotta be the first one. Don't know if I will be coming back to this regularly, but definitely when I'll have to study or during a trip. It transforms you into a new dimension.

Favorites: Continuum 1, Continuum 2, Continuum 10

Solange - A Seat at the Table
90

This album definitely holds a special place in my heart. It's an incredible journey that is filled with instrumentals, lyrics and vocals that scratch in my ear just right. It also truly meaningful. The interludes not only sound incredible, they send a message everyone should hear. Artistry is off the charts and Solange created a masterpiece, a classic. "Cranes in the Sky" is perfect.

Favorites: Rise, Cranes in the Sky, Mad

Stormzy - This Is What I Mean
75

Listened to this album with no expectations whatsoever and I was blown away. Some soul-touching lyrics, instrumentals, songs in general. But also some feel-good songs. Definitely will be coming back to this one.

Favorites: Fire + Water, Please, Need You, Sampha's Plea

Taco Hemingway - Marmur
74

Yo this is a SOLID album. Taco really brings out storytelling at its best on this project and it's amazing. His flow is undeniable and the whole record kept me excited throughout.

Favorites: Marmur, Krwawa jesień, Mgła II (Mówisz, masz), Tsunami blond, Deszcz na betonie

Dave - PSYCHODRAMA
67

Okay, I rarely agree with Fantano but his opinion on this album is exactly what I think. PSYCHODRAMA delivers real vulnerability and the lyricism is really good, or rather the storytelling. However this is not the only thing I can rate an album on. Although I enjoyed the mentioned aspect of the album, the generic production and an unchanging flow makes all the songs too much the same. When I listen to an album I need either big emotions or variety. And unfortunately, I got none.

The Beatles - Revolver
67

Well... I didn't enjoy the album as much as y'all did, but that's okay. I think that this is objectively a really good album, it's just not my vibe. I like that it's really cohesive and that there's a lot of instruments and experiments. But most of the songs just didn't stand out to me and most also just felt repetitive (and I'm talking about the choruses)

Favorites: Eleanor Rigby, I'm Only Sleeping, For No One

Normani - DOPAMINE
64

The rollout of this album was really weird, and unfortunately the project being LONG-awaited didn't make it any better. Gotta say that it's too bad that the label let Normani down 'cause her career seemed REALLY promising after 'Motivation'. Some of these tracks are extremely good (especially in the first part of the album), but the rest felt uninspired.

Favorites: Big Boy, Still, All Yours, Insomnia, 1:59, Wild Side

Blood Orange - Four Songs
76

Blood Orange has done it again. Dreamy project that transfers you into your deepest feelings. All bangers.

WILLOW - empathogen
75

Seems like WILLOW found her style and a new artistic vision and it suits her! This album is filled with soul, instruments and WILLOW's raw vocals. I gotta say I enjoyed the second part of the album WAY more than the first one. Either way, this is a chohesive and incredible album.
