Tom The Mail Man - Sometimes Sorry Isn't Enough

I dunno man. I tried to enjoy it, but unfortunately its a pretty boring project. Theres not much to grasp yet Tom The Mail Man tries frantically to make an enjoyable project & fails. Not the best, although "Taking Over" slaps.

The improvement is there. Tom The Mail Man manages to take everything he did good on "Schizo" & did it better on here. The production is so slick, the vocals/melodies are very, very nice. Overall, good follow up project.

Pretty good debut album here. It's a nice mix of emo rap traps. Not much else to say.

Yeat - Up 2 Më

The breakout album for Yeat, & oh boy is it a slapper. Truly a staple hypertrap/rage type album & still hits very strong 2 years later. Just good music.

ICECOLDBISHOP - GENERATIONAL CURSE

I'm the one that recommended the album. And I agree with practically every point said I guess I just enjoyed it much more. In my honest opinion, hardly no skips except for that random 48 second interlude before the last track, I don't really think that was needed. Still the eccentric vocal's really make this album shine for me, as well as the instrumentals because you never really know in what direction it's going. All in all, I will be watching ICECOLDBISHOP's career with great interest.

Trippie Redd - MANSION MUSIK

It's too damn long. No singing Trippie at all, only trap/rage beats, & what the hell is that feature list. The album is just a lazy mumbo jumbo of tracks that are just so meh. When it hits it hits, when it doesn't it really, really doesn't. I don't know about this one Trippie, it ain't for me. EDIT: Both Chief Keef songs were removed off spotify & I actually liked those 50 --> 40

Trippie Redd - Trip At Knight

Well, I think hypertrap & Trippie mix really well. Trippie took a bunch of weird synthy instrumentals & just littered the album with it, but in all honesty, it just works. The track "Matt Hardy 999" is a damn good example of how most of album sounds (except for "Rich MF") & the way Trippie Redd is able to practically float over these instrumentals is super impressive. Also, all the features are really good.

Mid. It's just mid. Some good, but mostly not good. I don't have much to say about this one. It's just alright. Just a let down.

Incredibly overhated. This project has a lot of classic Trippie, then Trippie just doing whatever he wants & it not turning out too good. I don't have much to say for this one, features are pretty good, instrumentals are interesting, vocals & melodies are damn good. Pretty good album from Ohio native Trippie Redd.

So I originally had a whole big review for this album but as time goes on I find my music taste changing & when I go back to this project I find myself enjoying it less and less. By no means is it an awful project, but it is very bloated & some tracks hurt my ears.

Trippie Redd - LIFE'S A TRIP

Trippie Redd's full commerical debut album. Did he deliver? Oh absolutely. As any other Trippie project, his vocals are immaculate & the small feature list was nice, even though considering all of the features did incredible. Young Thug & Reese LAFLARE both did pretty good on the track "Forever Ever" & Travis Scott was a perfect feature choice for "Dark Knight Dummo". There is a lot of songs I find myself listening to a lot, "BANG!" is one of them, just ... read more

For the third installment let's see what Trippie Redd did differently, well, not very much. It's got one of the main problems that the 1st A Love Letter To You had, some features just do not fit. Yet still, Trippie's vocals are, as they are always, incredible, the track "Toxic Waste" is a pretty good example. Honestly, the vocals on a lot of solo tracks are practically perfect. I sometimes find myself coming back to this album a lot but going to the same songs, some others just aren't ... read more

Trippie Redd - A Love Letter To You 2

With A Love Letter To You being a very strong start, Trippie dropped the anticapted sequel but it really doesn't live up to how I thought it would be. There was just a lot of boring & meaningless songs that didn't do very much for me. Although I will say, when it hits some of the songs such as "In Too Deep" really make you feel like your floating. The album does have highs, just too much mediocrity. Not the biggest fan, but regardless it's still a pretty decent sequel.

A melodic, almost, masterpiece. I'de say its a pretty damn good mix of trap & rnb & Trippie Redd adds pretty damn good harmonies. The only thing that sets me back a little bit is some of the features, they just don't sit well within their respected tracks. Yet, overall Trippie is able to produce a pretty damn good debut. Also, Romeo & Juliet is one of the best Trippie songs ever.

Man what a fucking let down. This album was first teased around right after Trip at Knight was released & was supposed to have his most innovative & beautiful tracks but no, we get this. I guess it's not too bad, just very disappointing; the vocals are plain boring, & some instrumentals are just plain boring, its boring. Also, what in the hell is "Helicopter", did Trippie Redd just forget how to make an enjoyable song? All in all, I don't think I'll find myself coming back ... read more
