Juicy J with Logic production? I had to check this out. Let me start off with one thing. the discussions are give or take, some don't really match the vibe the actual music is giving off, some more than others. But other than that, this is a project filled mostly with Boom-Bap Bangers from Juicy J & of course Project Pat had to hop in a couple tracks to bring that old school memphis vibe back. Its a very enjoyable listen all around, Juicy J's delivery is outstanding on these beats ... read more
What a quality Griselda & friends project. It’s everything a fan of them could ask for, great production from ILL Tone Beats & flows on flows from everyone included in this compilation project.
His debut mixtape is nearly as good as Egotrip. Good job John!
It’s cool I guess. There’s nothing too crazy on here but in my opinion the record started so strong then took a deep dive about halfway through. Kembe X is definitely a lot more punchy on some of these cuts & then some of them could have been completely left off…
Underrated as hell. I randomly came across this on Spotify & decided to give it a listen & wasn’t disappointed at all. I will say though the first track threw me off a little & I wasn’t really sure what I was getting into but it picked up. For a quick 10 track album it has phenomenal production choices with a lot of interesting switch ups from Hippie Sabotage & Kembe X’s rapping is so infectious. There’s a nice little surprise feature on Rolling Stoned as ... read more
This is the first ever Lupe Fiasco project I listened to & holy head bopper this is amazing. The smoothed out jazzy instrumentals & the way Lupe Fiasco is able to find these hidden pockets & flow so effortlessly makes this record shine. The theme is also a super nice touch that makes the listen even more enjoyable. Best believe I’ll be listening to a lot more from Lupe because this is fantastic.
God dang, this is the shit. The Pierre Bourne production is everything, & the way Young Nudy is able to slaughter these beats is crazy. Super solid, & I know he gets better over time but this one is up there for me in Nudy’s discog.
This project isn’t bad by any means, but listening to it after Safe Travels doesn’t exactly help it. It’s a solid underground trap project with spacey production & clear vocals from Japan, but for me it’s too simplistic for what we have come to know this artist for. I’d still bump it though.
Just as the sequel, this one slaps too. Its a short & sweet cloud rap project. Nothing too crazy but it's got some great lil vibers. Good job Mr. Luck!
This is beautiful. This is one of those albums that make you change your outlook on life. I went to a local prairie/park & listened to this while enjoying nature & I didn’t feel like I was on earth. A lot of this project deeply resonated with me due to some of the subject matter which made it even more enjoyable on a deeper level. Phenomenal work, if you are a fan of underground/experimental trap, this is a MUST LISTEN.
The internet really had my ass thinking drugs got me numb was going to be on this album… I’m going to keep it real, this is ass, I know the Fix Before The 6 was ass but I kept a little hope for this & was shattered. Lil Wayne has had an inexplicably fabulous feature run for a while now & I was genuinely somewhat looking forward to this project but my lord it’s worse than what I had thought it’d be. I don’t even want to call this a Lil Wayne project ... read more
This is some prime cloud rap with a lot of sample-focused instrumentals right here. You really don’t get anything like this anymore, you can just straight up jam out to this whole project & not even realize that it’s over. That is one little gripe I have with older Lucki music is that dude just makes straight up ring tones, but they slap.
What an infectious trap project, old Lucki doesn’t miss. All In was one of the first Lucki tracks I ever listened to so I knew I had to check this project out as do I for the rest of Lucki’s discog but I’ll get to that. This project features everything you’d want from Lucki, solid beats & vocal performances. Good job Mr. Luck!
I can’t believe I never finished Lucki’s discography, so here we are, another one to the collection. Days B4 3 is a phenomenal wavy, trap project where not only do the instrumentals shine but so does Lucki himself. This whole project, as well as most of Lucki’s music, is prime cloud rap.
Randomly felt like listening & reviewing Young Nudy's discography & where better to start than the beginning. Slimeball is pretty meh. Theres definitely a few stand out's but not enough to redeem this mixtape, & some of the tracks have horrible mixing which make them mostly unenjoyable. I was wishing for more.
I don’t understand the hate for this record at all, this is such a vibe. It’s honestly such a great introspective project about everyday issues all while sprinkling in some head boppers to even everything out. Don’t even get me started on the stacked feature list as well, from Mac Miller to Tyler, The Creater, everyone seems to go above & beyond for their short & sweet time on this project. All in all, this is a phenomenal record, from an Odd Future MC who flew under ... read more
This is a really solid, sweet & short, hip hop record. It’s got just what you need & doesn’t leave you wanting more. Snuck to Matty’s is a phenomenal outro that makes me want to check out more of femdot’s catalogue.
