Finally got around to listening to this Lil Tecca album before he drops ANOTHER project soon. Over the years Tecca keeps on improving as this seems as his most thought out project to date. From the melody’s , to the chill instrumentals, I think he’s carved his own lane. I’m curious to see as what the future has in store for him but this is a great project.
I have always had mixed feelings with this project, on one side the first half reminds me of some old Sosa & it really fits Summrs style, but then the second half is Pluggnb focused & I'm not the biggest fan of it. Don’t get me wrong I like Pluggnb but the song choices weren’t his strongest, I have given this project multiple tries & unfortunately it still can’t stick as I had hoped it would.
It’s nothing crazy, some pretty good WSG though but nothing that stands out.
For this being made in practically a day, it’s pretty damn good. Westside is one of, if not, the most consistent Griselda member, he rarely misses & if you’re a fan, you’ll like this.
I’m a fan of Aminé’s direction in the project. The happy, chilled out vibes with a subtle mix of introspectiveness throughout the album brings it more life. It’s nothing to crazy to be blown away from, but if you are looking for some nice, sweet summer vibers, this is the one.
CARTI’S COUSIN??? Wait this lowkey fire… I’m a sucker for new & different rage music. This is different; with ApolloRed1 officially joining OPIUM or YVL or whatever it is he really got the Avengers to be on production. The wavy, heavy synth focused instrumentals are HITTIN. This is solid if you are a fan of Rage music, this slaps.
Recently came across Bloodhound crew unfortunately after all of what happened with Lil Jeff, RIP. This project is a fantastic Chicago drill project, it’s got all you'd want. Super high energy, incredible instrumentals, & neat flawless rapping. This is a definite listen if you are into this type of music.
Yeah, this lowkey might be his best album. From the beats, the cadences, everything just meshes so well together. Good Job Mr Glock!
Gave this a relisten & yeah, its still as ASS as I remember. 26 tracks is just abysmal, expecially with the incredible lack of track individuality.
Randomly decided to go through the opium labels older projects again & here we are at NO STYLIST by Destroy Lonely & I have to say this has definitely grown on me MASSIVELY . I remember not being the biggest fan of the project but nah man this is gas. I don't even know how to explain it you just gotta get it.
Randomly decided to give this a relisten & honestly its improved from what I remember it being. Ken Carson before he changed up his voice is pretty good. Good job Kenyatta! 70 --> 80
A GREAT CHAOS PART 2. It’s actually really good in all honesty but I’m a D1 pookie Kenyatta glazer. One thing I will say is compared to AGC there is definitely a lack of individuality between the tracks on this, but to me, it’s still solid.
Randomly felt like going back & listening to old ysl albums that I have never heard. This Gunna project isn't bad at all, it just has too many duds to bangers & I know that Gunna can make good music it just seems as if most of his projects are lackluster. This is probably the best I've heard him throughout his older work & I am skeptical to listen to any previous records before this due to the overall low ratings. Pretty solid instrumentals, features are hit or miss, not a ... read more
