youngdabo - BLEED (JANE REMOVER DISS)

Jane put a singular line about him in a song and bro creates a whole ass diss track where his only diss is that she’s trans😭 Immature, disgusting, and also the music is ass LMAO

Linkin Park - Meteora

I liked this album more than Hybrid Theory but Linkin Park is just still not my thing. I like when they lean more into the grunge garage band sound and this album did that which was awesome! It features my favorite Linkin Park song - Don’t Stay! I don’t like the rap element and mostly I just associate the band with gross deadbeat dads for some reason, which isn’t their fault but I just can’t shake the image. Their guitar lines are always epic though! Maybe one day they ... read more

I’m just amazed at how perfectly each instrument works together. The jazzy drums, soft melodic guitars overlapping, weird time signatures, his melancholic voice, and a saxophone or trumpet here and there - it’s perfect. I see why this paved the way for midwest emo, it has that deeply human quality that makes my heart melt every time I hear it. It’s consistently slow but that makes it cozy. There’s just something about it. You have to listen to understand man, it’s ... read more

Title Fight - Shed

27 might be one of the saddest songs l've ever heard but ok. This album is a punch in the face of energy from the first second and it does the punk post-hardcore sound PERFECTLY. I think Floral Green has higher highs, but this one is more consistent so I ended up liking it more. I love the quick drums, long instrumentals, and lowkey beautiful guitar riffs. I'm not usually the biggest fan of constant screaming in music but it just works so well on this record. His voice just SEEPS with ... read more

First album of 2026 and OH MY GOD TRUE EDM TECHNO HOUSE MUSIC IS BACK!!! Maybe 2016 really is making a comeback. This album was so much fun!! I’ve realized that I am 100% a production maximalist and that’s why I have become obsessed with digital music over the past year cause there are like 30 different sounds happening at all times, and this album is no exception. She really created her own sound and it is like drugs in my ears. Such a cute and silly album too, this girl really ... read more

Jewel - Lullaby

I have to give this a 100 simply because of nostalgia, and it has prevented me from being an insomniac. I had this CD when I was a child and my sister and I played it every single night to fall asleep. Now whenever I really really can’t fall asleep I put it on and I’m asleep by Twinkle Little Star every single time without fail. I have pavlov affected myself and it’s awesome. Jewel you beautiful woman thank you. Her voice is so angelic and comforting.

Alice in Chains - Jar of Flies

I don’t care that Nutshell is one of their most popular songs it is a masterpiece and I feel it in my SOUL every single time I listen to it. That melody, the instrumentals, his haunting voice, the guitar solo, and the lyrics evoke such an emotional melancholy response in me. One of my favorite songs of all time!! Rotten apple is incredible too. I love the concept of gentle and soothing grunge for this EP, I feel like it’s pretty unique. I like the bluesy feeling on Don’t ... read more

Paramore - After Laughter

This album surprised me with how much I loved it. My first listen I was like BANGER AFTER BANGER it really is a consistent album. It switches up the vibe at the perfect times to always keep me interested. Hayley’s belting voice is so good and fun to sing along to, every single song is incredibly catchy, it’s such a danceable album which I LOVE, and the lyrics are very relatable. The super fun synth pop contrasting with the depressing lyrics of every track is so nice, I love when ... read more

Billie Eilish - WHEN WE ALL FALL ASLEEP, WHERE DO WE GO?

This is such a guilty pleasure album for me. Although there are so many cringey elements, I still think it’s really fun and the contrast between her very breathy light voice and the darker “edgy” music style is kinda cool. Lots of the songs are actually super catchy and have some interesting production in my opinion. Also the way it all connects in the end and she combines little pieces of each song is so satisfying. I really like the song ilomilo. It has creepy but cutesy ... read more

Laufey - Bewitched

I fell in love with Laufey in 2022 and although I like her first album more, this one is also wonderful! Her voice is just the most rich velvety soothing thing you will ever hear. I really like that she is unashamedly a hopeless romantic and this album reflects that. The strings throughout the whole album are so nice. Every time I listen to her I feel like I am sitting in a cafe in Europe. As someone who loves jazz, it’s so exciting that Laufey is bringing that genre back to the modern ... read more

Sam Fender - People Watching

This album actually wasn’t even that bad but I have a problem where if the music sounds like the basic “indie” people in utah would love it then I automatically hate it and this album gave that vibe. I have a vendetta against that aesthetic of people bro they are judgmental and the type of mormons who don’t follow any of the rules to be “cool” but still keep all of the problematic views that are taught in the church. Anyways this really has nothing to do with ... read more

I knew I loved this album from the first listen. Even though it has dark themes it is just SO FUN. The amount of pure energy and adrenaline pushing through every single song is addicting. Every instrument with kurt’s voice works together so well and creates some of the most catchy songs ever. I especially love the drums that are constantly crashing and moving at super speed. The guitars and bass are simple but heavy and so satisfying. Plus this literally defined what 90s music was gonna ... read more

Nine Inch Nails - Pretty Hate Machine

Immediately became one of my favorite albums of all time I am OBSESSED. This is such a unique blend between spooky 80s music and the aggressive rock of the 90s, and it works SO WELL. It’s crazy how every single song is catchy and memorable and incredible. It is very rare that I will LOVE an album on a first listen but this one did that for me!! I am obsessed with the angst and yearning with his lyrics and the aggressive shouts, growls, gritty belting, and angry whispering. The production ... read more

Phoebe Bridgers - Punisher

it’s hard to put into words how important this album is to me. i could write an entire essay on how genius it is. it feels like a perfected work of art. starting off with an intro track to perfectly set the mood (i LOVE when people do this), and then mentioning factors and themes that will show up later in other songs (the development of the dog with a bird metaphor is my absolute favorite), and taking us on an entire journey that leads to an insane climax and conclusion all wrapped up in ... read more

Crystal Castles - Crystal Castles (II)

listened to this on a nighttime road trip in the rain, and i gotta say that was kind of a magical experience. this album was pretty good and i liked the creepy dark techno vibes but it just got a little boring/old for me. baptism, empathy, and suffocation were bangers though and i will be relistening.

Pale Waves - My Mind Makes Noises

is nostalgia affecting my rating? 100% but this was my SHIT in 8th grade. the 1975 but with a female vocalist and they aren’t pretentious and problematic? sign me up. does it bother me that their aesthetic is goth but they make pop music? NO that’s one of the stupidest critiques i’ve ever heard and honestly the contrast makes it more fun in my opinion. it’s an incredibly generic pop album with nothing very special about it but i have a fun time listening. plus i wanted ... read more

Grimes - Visions

grows on you the more you listen to it and when the vibe is right it HITS. a perfect night album imo. she nails the spooky moody synth pop vibe that defines grimes and her haunting high voice was made for it. what i love about this album is that each song feels like she’s addressing a specific event or emotion she has been feeling, but it’s kind of in a broken and fractured way that makes it so much more interesting and unique. it feels like a tour of the deepest parts of her brain ... read more

Alex G - TRICK

this album feels so deeply nostalgic, even when i listened to it the first time. reminds me of my childhood and exploring the cities my dad lived in idk. alex g just perfectly encapsulates that feeling of melancholy and i fear it gets me in my feels. i love all the weird instruments and sounds and voice effects he plays with. i genuinely like every single song and i haven’t found another album that gives me this vibe. i loveeee

Grimes - Art Angels

On my first listen I was like nah this is not my vibe I can't handle her voice... and then Grimes creeped into my veins and now I have listened to this album at least 3 times a week for the past 3 months. This might be the most catchy album of all time. I don't care where I am, I WILL be dancing if one of the songs plays. There is so much energy and sunshine packed into this album!! I love her overly feminine whiny voice mixed with the screams and at times creepy lyrics. The ... read more

David Bowie - "Heroes"

this album was very interesting. I liked the spooky groove rock vibes, but the purely instrumental tracks kind of lost me in the second half. The title track will always be one of my favorite songs of all time though! There is pure magic, youth, and adventure in that song.
