New Review:
Ok so I was wrong about this album. While I don't think that it is among Annie's best I do think that I was too harsh on it. I still think that the singles are without a doubt the best parts of this album but as a whole it isn't anywhere near as boring as I made it out to be in my original review. I really like the closer and have also grown to like Violent Times as well.
I don't think that as an album experience it feels anywhere near as complete as ... read more
Edit: I changed my rating from 98 to 100. My favorite album from my favorite artist so it only seemed right. Also 5th happy birthday to one of my favorite albums ever <3
I am going to review all of Annie's albums and I thought I would start with this one because it is my personal fav.
This album has got some of the best production I have ever heard and the 70's style that the album is going for is captured flawlessly. People complain about Jack Antonoff but he is clearly doing ... read more
Edit: 90 -> 100
Yeah this is a 100 idk why I didn't give it a perfect score initially because this album is a masterpiece.
Sit & Mourn is how Sleep Token wishes they sounded.
This is quite the experience and I recommend that anybody who is into heavy music gives it a listen because it is absolutely worth your time.
Very dark and horrifying story told through beautiful music.
Also Strangers is actually one of the best songs that I have ever heard.
Fuck the system metal
Hard album cover as well
10/10 and one of the best albums ever recorded
The first album I listened to from Paramore and it set the bar very high.
I never had an emo phase growing up so I never really listened to Paramore and the stuff that I did hear I wasn't that big of a fan of. I have a few friends that are fans of Paramore so I though I would actually given them a fair chance and I'm glad that I did because this album slaps.
Hayley is an incredible singer and has packed this album full of beautiful melodies which is one of the most important parts of ... read more
As a musician this made my brain hurt.
But yeah this album fucks hard.
I went into this record without knowing anything about it or any of the members of the band. I had no idea what to expect but HOLY SHIT this thing absolutely blew me away. This is one of the only albums where I actually teared up when it finished.
Musically this thing is flawlessly constructed and each member is given their own time to shine. None of them feature too much or too little and they bring they own unique creative qualities to the project. Sometimes supergroups don't really ... read more
Got a history lesson while listening to a metal record.
My favourite Maiden album and it has some of the best guitar tones that they have ever had.
fav songs are Wasted Years, Sea Of Madness and Alexander The Great
Probably my favourite album of all time and I don't even know why. I will do a full in depth review of this album one day.
Not a single weak moment and every song is a 10/10
The only band on Earth that can get away with screaming PLASTIC BAG IN THE SEA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
