this has grown on me. it definitely has the band's best material since trench, but it has their worst since blurryface too. i still think it was enjoyable.
but i'm still hoping they to drop a double album.
the first half of this album is perfect background music, (in an amazing way) very weird and atmospheric IDM, and the second half is a very heavy journey to sit through. but it's not bad. in fact, it's amazing. it's just incredibly weird, abrasive and terryfing.
(i gotta say my favourite half is definitely the first one)
overall, this album is fucking mindblowing. i'm glad it was sent to brad, there aren't enough people loving this album.
discovered this because of the melon. what a fucking album.
this is my first time listening to beth gibbons and it completely surpassed my expectations.
if you have such a blessed voice like beth, don't make a pop album, make one like this.
this thing could genuinely be a 10 for me. it's close though.
this is the heaviest album i've ever heard since unsilent death. and it's disgusting. it feels like i'm carrying fucking mount everest. but i love it. this thing just flows seamlessly and it goes hard asf. amazing combo.
if drake responds to this and meet the grahams it can't be a song it's gonna be a court speech
kendrick lamar booth
kendrick calling drake white and a bad bitch is everything this beef didn't need
but i love it
drake is fucking dead
this album is very hard to digest... but when you do it it's fucking amazing
i'm glad i'm a spanish-speaker, and that i know dillom and the situation of his (and my) country enough to understand this album, because this album is amazing, but it's very depressing (except for a couple of songs). this may sound stupid, but i feel like this album is a mix between the powers that b and igor. it's very weird, abstract and depressing, but also kinda chill. dillom rlly did it on this thing. i hope ... read more
how the hell did i sleep so much time on this artist
the opener was kinda mid but then those synths kick in and i got elevated. that was the reason i didn't stop listening to this. it ended up being a very lush and artsy experience. i loved this.
JUST RELEASE A FUCKING ALBUM IM BEGGING YOU
yeah this ep is very unique sonically, with its mix of jazz rock and post-punk elements. i would describe this album as if swans listened to miles davis (yeah i love meatriding swans). my only complaint is that this is pretty much the same as their last ep. anyways, rlly good album!
from what i've heard of this album, it has a lot of variety. even with this song being the weakest of the three singles, it's great.
edit: (84 -> 88) it's definitely a grower
this album is dreamy, fuzzy and beautiful. elements of punk, baroque/chamber pop and indie rock are perfectly mixed. it's my first time hearing vampire weekend, and i gotta say they surpassed my expectations like a truck. this album is amazing.
this album genuinely is one of the most hellish things i've ever heard. i will review every track separately.

DISC 1 :
lunacy feels like a pagan ritual of sorts. while i listen to this song i picture flames and people dancing around the sacrifices. it is terrifying. but it's not the scariest moment in this album.
mother of the world is insanely repetitive and animalistic, to the point where you feel someone (or something) is trying to hipnotize you. after this the song lowers ... read more
