Baths - Pop Music / False B-Sides II

Vastly superiour to Romaplasm. Absolutely loved this project from start to finish <3

The Soft Pink Truth - Shall We Go On Sinning So That Grace May Increase?
84

Ever say to yourself "Damn, I needed an album like this" while listening to a new LP? That's what I thought listening to this.

It's meditative, groovy, explorative - a musical cocktail of beautiful soundscapes, chaotic repetition and driving percussion.

"We", for example, sounds like Four Fet and DJ Koze got real freaky in lockdown. The repetious brilliance of "Sinning" sounds like Philip Glass on acid. "So", Basinski with time restraints.

Isaac Hayes - Hot Buttered Soul

just straight up sex to my ears

Mac DeMarco - Here Comes the Cowboy
67

It's not as bad as everyone's saying it is.. I dunno, it's Mac's weakest effort for sure. But there's still moments of greatness - nobody, on the square and all of our yesterdays are probably my favourites. Check it out if you are a fan of his stuff.

Big Thief - Masterpiece
76

A debut that grabs your attention, and highlight Big Thief's nack for writing super warm and intimate folk rock bangers

Life Without Buildings - Any Other City

There isn't really anything quite like this? it's very unique, always coming back to it

Madonna - Ray of Light

Madonna's transedant vocals + trip hop beats = surprisingly outstanding

State Forest transported me to another place entirely, probably the most ambient Burial has ever gotten

Philip Glass - Glassworks

Big Thief - U.F.O.F.

This album is S T U N N I N G

A hypnotizing, peaceful and melancholic journey into folk. The production is so nice and Adrianne Lenkers vocals are extremely passionate and sincere. Very patient in its pacing. Actually got flashes of the brilliant Carrie and Lowell while listening.

Faves: UFOF, Cattails, From, Terminal Paradise, Jenni, Magic Dealer

The Beatles - Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band
94

You gotta give this album unlimited props for changing the face of music forever

The Beatles - Abbey Road
96

The medley alone makes this album one of the best of all time. The closing statement from McCartney is so simple but so powerful. It's a real "woah" moment when you hear it for the first time.

The Beatles - The Beatles
100

Quite possibly the best double album of all time

Baths - Cerulean
85

Always coming back to this one. The beats and flow just hit me on a deep level. It's super out-there, the songs on here are unpredictable, glitchy and experimental. Any electronic music fan should hop on this album!
