I see a lot of U2 hate nowadays which I understand to some extent especially when it comes to stuff they did after this album but when it comes The Joshua Tree era U2 I got nothing but praise.
Where The Streets Have No Name is one of the best songs of the 80s and I fully stand by that. 2nd half of the album isn’t quite as good as the first which is why the score is a 90 instead of a 100 but that doesn’t stop this from being an excellent album.
Quite possibly the biggest fall off of a band ever. Gonna go listen to Songs About Jane now.
Never underestimate the power of a couple of white boys doing reggae.
Definitely has a lot of great songs but my god I couldn’t imagine ever listening to this again all the way through. Feels like a marathon of an album.

A major step up for CCR, great from start to finish. Definitely their best album.
