the vocals going into near screams make me go feral every goddamn time i hear this.
listened to this after finding the files from the discord, not gonna rate for the album, as I've already done that with the original release.
while this version of the album takes a lot of getting used too and has a different approach to how the songs sound, i can see how this is better suited to physical releases like the Vinyl and CD of the album. instead of the instruments meshing together like on the original mix, it has more of a focus in having you be able to here what's going ... read more
going into the video for this thing, i thought this was gonna be a boring 90s love pop song.
long story short, Jesus CHRIST was i wrong.
absolutely incredible live rendition of the final masterpiece of Willy Rodriguez.
this show extremely well performed, everyone on stage were great and seemed to be having a lot of fun.
the small conversations they have to the audience and the occasional small slip-ups add so much charm to this thing
RELEASE THIS AS A LIVE ALBUM I BEG
don't really know what to say. i always thought I'd hate this album and put off listening to it for so long, now that I've heard it in full i really regret not giving this a try sooner.
this is an album that was pretty strange period in Sufjan's discography, after five years since 2005s legendary "Illinois", Sufjan dropped a drastically different sound, bring heavy experimentation and electronic elements into the songs.
This is an extremely unique mix of genre, ... read more

insane song and an insane opener to the album this comes from. keeps building and building into the musical equivalent of a mental breakdown in the second half. incredible song, even if it's certainly not for everyone
Two incredible songs, while they are far from the highs of The New Sound's best moments, they are still really fun. it was nice to hear another track with Seth's vocals on I Love My Family since i loved his singing on Motorbike.
Aching Knees is an incredible song, actually could see it being on The New Sound with it's instrumentation
it's a damn shame these two songs are virtually impossible to listen to other than owning the bonus 7 inch or having the Japanese CD press of ... read more
lord help me why is every Fishmans album so peak bro HOW
don't know why i never listened to this for so long. just got around to it and this is really fun, just some well done funk/dub music.
some songs are better than others for sure but pretty much every song is great regardless. if you want to get into fishmans earlier stuff this could be a starting point
watching the sunset rise from your tokyo apartment type music
god DAMN this is insane i need to listen to songs in the key of life lmao
my old primary school SNA putting me onto absolute peak out of nowhere wtf

The greatest piece of music ever made. hands down, ๐๐๐
I've decided to begin a third new review, i feel my first review didn't get my point across and the beginnings of my second was WAY too ambitious and was basically a giant full technical breakdown of the song.
neither of those are what i wanted my review for this piece of music to be. i don't want to just overanalyze the song and try to convince everyone else to like it, doing that without talking about my personal ... read more
a beautiful (although slightly overrated) experience that shows you don't need words to make a beautiful experience.
this is incredible, FAR from top 5 of all time in my opinion, but still incredible
