its alright
i might get killed for this one lmfao
super cool idea, but it could have been done better.
the instrumentation doesn't change much during the three suites and some lyrics (altered beast for example) get kind of annoying and cringe inducing at times. han-tyumi's robotic voice gets super irritating after a surprisingly short amount of time
again, it's decent. but its not great in my eyes.
this is so fun
it is so peak
i wish this thing was longer, love the movie accompanying it as well! it's nothing too overwhelming or complicated, it's just a super fun 30 minutes of your time.
this is an insanely cool concept, I've never seen a shuffle gimmick like this done so well before!
and the fact that this one album has a whole community that make "expansion packs" to add to the albums experience is something i have actually never seen before. the fact that this made a whole community is incredible
an album that you can't play in order and one that you can listen to forever, unique every single time. its the next step after works like King Gizzards ... read more
this is such a cool and unique little soundscape, very good for background noise
also, obligatory "if i had a nickel for every time a former member of the experimental band black midi made an incredible solo album/effort, I'd have two nickels. which isn't a lot but it's weird that it happened twice." because it's funny i think
i find it so funny and am also distraught that this was in the top 30 albums of 2024 on this website yet still nobody knows about it. rip
it's okay, not my thing. i can see why people would like this though, the dumb song and inertia are fun ones
some songs are pretty cool actually (:
Polynesia is my favourite, others are a little bit cringe inducing at times but its for sure listenable if you want to here it for yourself.
the most rock-oriented of BC,NR's discography, it's track listing might look short but this thing is packed with pure insanity and fun. so many different sounds are experimented with for the 40 minutes it takes of your time. if you enjoy aggressive vocals and high energy give this a go for sure.
Incredible debut, not one song I don't like from this thing
Too young to die is insane, ESPECIALLY the extended version
Music of the mind is one of my favorite instrumentals of all time
Revolution 1993 is so grand and feels like the perfect finale (even if the real last track after that is didgeridoo bring played for two minutes lol)
just gave this a relisten god DAMN this clicked even more this is fire the whole way through.
by FAR the the best jamiroquai album
oh and also please have my children stuart zender you big bass genius
this is made by a person who writes about the crimes talked about on this "album" in gruesome and excruciating detail btw
this isn't protest, this isn't to open peoples eyes. this is some perverted freaks fantasy.
this album has such a hugely unique soundscape that i don't here repeated often
but i do feel the band could have changed it up between songs a little more, it makes the album feel very samey, especially towards the end
i always love a last track that uses the melody of the first track, that's really cool (:
This is such a happy album i love it so much
while this is in my opinion the weakest of the Fishmans Setagaya trilogy, it is still better than many albums I've heard.
it can be something to dive deep into and have full focus on, and it simultaneously could be very good background music.
it's such a fun time that i really do recommend to everybody.
i love me some fishy-wishy band
they really experimented with this one (not as much as their previous effort Long Season, but still lmfao)
i love the creative ideas from the band members here. the crazy guitar solo that ends WEATHER REPORT and sounds of a clock being used as percussion on うしろ姿 for example
similar to the work of Geordie's previous work with black midi, its pretty damn experimental and strange in its experimentaion.
i say this in the best way possible. it certainly isn't for everyone but if you get it you get it. incredible debut. hyped af for his next album, whenever that comes out
