I won't be doing much reviews but I'll still be ratings things for now! we'll see how things go
Pusha T and Malice reunite for one of the best, maybe even the best album of the year. The Birds Don’t Sing is an amazing intro with emotional verses about the passing of their parents, but “Chains & Whips” is the track that really sets the tone for the rest of the album. From there, it doesn’t let up. Their earlier Clipse projects only had a handful of Pharrell beats, but this time he handles the entire album, and it shows. He is one of the best producers ever, and ... read more
Lil Wayne… he’s a very influential artist, Influencing artists such as Kendrick Lamar, Drake, and Young Thug. He made Tha Carter III, one of the most iconic rap albums ever. So what about Rebirth?
(Spoiler alert: it’s awful.)
Honestly, Lil Wayne should not be making rock. His robotic, autotuned voice just grates on the ears, and the whole thing ends up laughable. These are some of the most painful vocals I’ve ever heard on an album like this. Paradice has one of the ... read more
This is probably the most iconic rap album of all time. Every track is packed with incredible bars and masterful wordplay. Nas easily earns his spot as one of the greatest purely on this album alone.
The storytelling is phenomenal, especially on songs like N.Y. State of Mind. Some people criticize the album for having “boring beats,” but I completely disagree. The World Is Yours is one of my favorite rap beats ever, and there are plenty of other tracks on this project I could say ... read more
Sadly, this really isn’t a good project at all. The songwriting is weak throughout and most tracks run far longer than they should.
Listening to this in 2025 is corny. It is not fun, it is boring, and the production screams early Odd Future while still missing the mark. However, She and Yonkers still hit today.
Summary: an album of an edgy 20 year old rapping about edgy homophobic nonsense, dragged out to a tedious 1 hour and 13 minutes.
Favourite Tracks: Yonkers, She and ... read more
My third favourite album of all time. The vocals from every member are amazing, and the music is absolutely heavenly. Every song carries meaningful lyrics “Wish You Were Here” even brought a few tears to my eyes. “Shine On You Crazy Diamond, Pts. 1-5” is literally a top three song of all time, and it’s not in third.
This is my first time listening to The Beatles (yes, I’ve never even heard Abbey Road). It’s a really cool experimental rock album, and I can definitely tell drugs were involved in its creation. This album sounds complex, yet it’s amazing at what it does. Definitely a creative and influential album.
This album is beautiful, This album is built around the story of a lifetime.
"Speak to me" and "Breathe (In the Air) are the first tracks and are about just being born, the middle of the album talks about things you'll do in your life. "Speak to Me" and "Breathe (In the Air)" open with the moment of birth, and the middle explores the events and struggles that shape a life. It reflects on traveling, accepting death, wasting time, money, war, and many other ... read more
