"loveless" is the 1991 sophomore project of renowned shoegaze band My Bloody Valentine (also called mbv) . This was an album I discovered maybe last month? Anyway I was instantly hooked by the super unique and refreshing take on emo music. Most of the tracks are just straight up looped, with crisp, snappy drums touched with a hint of fuzz playing in tandem with a guitar loop or blooping synths. The vocals , atleast on the tracks that feature vocals, are a bit screamo adjacent but they're subdued down, further back in the mix, so you don't get some of the annoying qualities of that vocal ... read more

IN A NUTSHELL
Tis' unfinished, poorly mixed, scrap-booky in the worst way possible. Kanye doesn't even do the bare minimum to make this listenable all the way through. Worst album of the year.
This is possibly the only SOPHIE song I'd consider to be genuinely terrible. It takes SOPHIE's classic bold metallic, liquid sound and waters it down into a sullen, boring progression that starts sounding like a 2010s gaming YouTube channel intro, followed by the refrain into a really boring background EDM. Genuinely disappointed.
