Protest The Hero - Kezia
65

It's a decent debut, especially when you consider that most of the band was under 20 years old at the time. I just think their other work is much better

No/Más - No Peace
75

Lean, mean, fightin music

Rolo Tomassi - Time Will Die and Love Will Bury It
95

The first time I heard this album I was blown away. The second time I heard this album I was blown away. The third time I heard this album I was blown away. Now, on probably the 300th or so time I've heard this album, god damn it I am blown away. The band's best work to date and one of the greatest mathcore albums of all time, although it's much more than just a mathcore record.

Rolo Tomassi - Grievances
90

The first album I heard by this band is still every bit as enticing and exciting as it was 10 years ago. Definitely worth a listen

Rolo Tomassi - Astraea
70

A good, but somewhat overproduced sounding record that definitely feels more like a transitional moment in their discography rather than one that makes any sort of big statement

Rolo Tomassi - Cosmology
75

The most normal sounding sasscore album ever made

Rolo Tomassi - Hysterics
90

I used to listen to this album a lot in highschool. It's been about ten years since I first heard it and I still feel absolutely invigorated listening to it. It's an utterly insane album and everyone into mathcore should hear it

Rolo Tomassi - Untitled
80

All Rolo Tomassi is varying levels of good, but damn do I miss when they sounded like *this* . Not as good as their debut LP that would follow, but this is some great mathcore

Skindred - Babylon (Revised Online Music)
70

A good friend of mine recommended I listen to this record, as someone who enjoys reggae and plays in metal bands and while I don't love this record quite as much as her fervor would've led me to believe, I did have a blast listening to it on my ride home. Definitely worth a listen if you're looking for a fun, action-packed record full of pissed off sections that wouldn't feel out of place on Sepultura's Roots or if you're a metalhead who enjoys a bit of dub and ... read more

Keznamdi - Blxxd and Fyah
75

A pretty good modern take on reggae with some roots thrown in for good measure

Favorites: Colonial Bondage, River Jordan, Serious Times, Bun Di Ganja

Least Favorites: Identity Crisis, Bread and Butta

Melt-Banana - 3 + 5
90

Fun, as usual

Ronker - Respect the Hustle, I Won’t Be Your Dog Forever
80

I had a lot of fun listening to this one. Like Idles but noisier and heavier

Angel Du$t - Cold 2 The Touch
70

It's fun but samey

Gylt - In 1,000 Agonies, I Exist
70

I feel slightly cooler after listening to this

Jimmy Cliff - Give Thanx
50

Not completely awful but definitely one of his worst

Circa Survive - Two Dreams
70

Eepy music for eepy people

Circa Survive - The Amulet
75

Circa Survive by the numbers. Still bangs though

Circa Survive - Violent Waves
80

Possibly their most consistent album besides Blue Sky Noise (so far). It just lacks some of the more memorable highs found on a record such as Juturna or the aforementioned BSN

At the Drive-In - Relationship of Command
100

The single greatest post-hardcore album of all time

"As someone who loves both Converge and Daughters I'm genuinely wondering where on earth you pulled that comparison from. Aside from both being abrasive hardcore-based albums and using high pitched screaming vocals I really dont hear any similarities"
