At its best, Scowl's album is infectiously catchy and vibrant. At its worst, it can drag a bit. I'm eager to hear where they go next.

When I saw this band live, I fell asleep standing up. This band rules is what I'm saying. This album rules, too

I've loved them ever since I saw them open for HEALTH last spring; it's good to hear them in top form here - catchy, raunchy, exciting, and gorgeous.

Some solid stuff on here, but ultimately I think they do heavier shit better than this stuff
Favorites: Timing Belt, New Braunfels, The Big Heat
On their near-perfect debut LP, Maruja uses their eclectic style of rock as a tool for protest and the results are nothing short of spectacular.

Their finest work to date
