While not as great as ….Like Clockwork or Songs for the Deaf, this is easily QOTSA’s third best album. Having a strong 3 track openers and very great bangers in between, this is by no means a bad. Although I could see someone calling this their favorite QOTSA album, I just find some tracks that are weak in comparison to songs like The Lost Art of Keeping A Secret and In the Fade.
One of the best albums and influential in the electronic space for years to come after its release in 1992. This is what a game made in the 90s-early 2000s would sound like if it was trying to be futuristic.
The songwriting and the instrumentation on the songs make this album perfect for me. Especially knowing Josh Homme was at a dark time of his life, it makes all of the lyrics and atmosphere that much darker. Queens of the Stone Age's second masterpiece.
One of the most raw pieces of music yet it is beautiful. Every song on this album lets itself to be fully fleshed out. In conclusion, To Be Kind is a masterpiece of the 2010s era.
This entire album brings me back to my middle school years, when I would listen to this and become depressed. Looking back, this was the definition of middle of the road. The only stand out song for me is Far Too Young To Die
Man, they really just a Greatest Hits album but didn’t realize they hadn’t released these songs out.
Haven’t heard Petrodragonic Apocalypse, but this is a certified banger.
One of the best albums of the 90s. It has a great lonely atmosphere generated by the unique production style on this record. All I have to say is that Beth Gibbons performs one of the best vocal performances of the decade.
An album near and dear to me from the lyrical content and overall sound. The energy from the beginning of the album being quite high to the last tracks having a bit a slower yet able to rile up emotions strongly is quite the feat. Overall, this album demonstrates Jeff Rosenstrock’s excellent solo career afterwards.
