My toxic trait is that I think this album's better than Madvillainy. I think the more cartoon supervillain aesthetic works with DOOM's persona better than the more morose production from Madlib on Madvillainy. I liked this era of Daft Punk where it felt like they had some level of resentment for the listener but not that much. You will get your loud and harsh noises (but not like the genre of harsh noise) and you'll like it, but it's okay because you get good songs too. They also liked making their songs long as hell too.

I think if you act like an insufferable music dork about this album and go "erm... overrated!" you should have all music taken away from you and be forced to subsist on listening to flowing water.

I guess it's good? It's not bad, but I'd struggle to call it "good" outright. It DOES have some good songs on it, but not much about it makes me feel strong. I think this is going to hold up much worse on a relisten given how kind of dull it feels and how bad the lyrics might end up being overall. It's definitely carried by production already.
