Albums I need to listen to to finish the AOTY top 100 - #38
Everything about this album just screams the 80s in the best way possible. It’s such a funky, beautiful, and flat out fun pop record. The instrumentals are all absolutely mind blowing and iconic. Princes vocal performance is also amazing rivaling even Mj’s vocals at points. The lyrics about love and the human condition wrap it all in a nice bow and make it one of the most powerful albums of the 80s. This is also a near ... read more

I was actually already really familiar with a lot of the tracks on this album because I kinda grew up on it. My dad is a huge Jimi fan and I’d hear a lot of his music, including a lot of songs on this album, during car rides with him. Lots of these riffs felt super familiar to me and I really really enjoyed them. Hendrix is easily one of the best guitar players in musical history. So many tracks on this album are absolute ... read more

Bro I wish I was alive in 2007π
So I’m 2 for 2 with live dance albums right now. The long goodbye has quickly risen to become my favorite album ever since my first listen and I wouldn’t be surprised to see something similar happen with this. This is completely and utterly entrancing for the entire duration. There are seriously no dull spots to be found. The mixing is so flawless that without the crowd noises you really ... read more

So this is just like the greatest thing ever huh. If you know me at all you know I am a massive fan of live albums and I really enjoyed flood and feedbacker so I had high hopes going into this. If I’m being honest this surpassed my expectations by a considerable margin. It has all the ferocity of a swans live while managing to feel distinctly like Boris. Maybe that’s not 100% true because there’s also a lot of noise ... read more
This is probably the last new Kanye album I expect to get any enjoyment out of. I never listened to the original demos of this and I don’t plan on it but a lot of these tracks are honestly really refreshing considering all the bullshit (not to mention shitty music) that ye has been spewing for the past few months. The lyrics, while not anything special or really even too great, don’t praise Hitler and aren’t blatantly offensive like a lot of Kanye’s recent output. ... read more
Damn Bojack has really spiraled since his show ended
So I really enjoyed The Lamb As Effigy when I gave it a listen a few months ago and when I saw some people talking about this in a discord I was in I knew I had to check it out. It’s safe to say it didn’t disappoint. This is some of the darkest and most unsettling post rock I’ve heard in a good while. The lyrics and vocals are raw and incredibly powerful and complement the constantly changing instrumental perfectly. ... read more
April Album Swap #29
Boring as fuck. I was vibing with it a bit at the beginning but as it went on it just got so fucking uninteresting. It lasts for so fucking long too it’s insane. Just listen to Boris instead they’re way better.
April Album Swap #28
I genuinely really enjoyed the second half of this but the first 20 are so boring. It feels like nothing happens asides from the occasional noise clip. It’s just such a chore to get through but the actual noise aspects of this are really cool and I honestly wish they lasted for more of the record. It’s definitely cool but I don’t see myself returning to this the first 20 minutes just kinda kill the replay ability for me.
