What the fuck is going on. This is some of the craziest metal I have ever heard. From front to back this is loaded with some of the fastest paces riffs, some of the most powerful vocals, and some of the most chaotic moments in any metal album I’ve listened to. Pretty great black metal album. I don’t really think much stands out too much asides from the title track but it’s definitely pretty great. That title track tho is just unreal. Easily one of the best black metal songs I’ve heard. So yea great album not much else to say.

Making up for yesterday bc I got too tired and ended up not doing my album swap for the day but this is pretty great. Definitely better than Pagan Terrorism Tactics. It’s pretty consistent and has a nice variety of different sounds. I don’t think sludge metal is my favorite metal subgenre but I do really like this.

April Album Swap #15

Yea so all the metal on here is genuine peak. That being said like a third of this is just pretty boring ambient. While it does make the metal sections pop a bit more it also kinda brings down the pacing of the album and takes you out of the immersion. If the ambient wasn’t here I think this could very easily be a mid to high 90.

I don’t know if I’m just not in the mood for metal or just music in general but this didn’t really hit for me like a lot of metal albums do. It’s good don’t get me wrong I just wasn’t really all that interested. The cover is probably the most interesting part of this album because holy fuck.

This album always kind of existed for me in a realm where I still enjoyed it but I found it to be pretty overrated and never ended up returning to it. I think I was ultimately underwhelmed by a lot of the production and performances on here due to my little exposure to experimental hip hop being centered around Danny Brown and Death Grips. I was not prepared for this at all. This is some of the most chaotic and insane shoegaze I’ve ever heard. Kiss especially I just out of this world. The albums a bit short but what was packed in here is more than satisfactory.

I had pretty mixed expectations going into this due to my complaints about Mount eerie but this is genuinely really good. Straight storytelling for 44 minutes strait and it never gets boring or stale. It’s really really beautiful and the instrumental backs it up really well. Great album
