Okay wow I wasn’t really expecting to love it based on the first half of the first song but the second that guitar kicked in I was hooked. Great album.
Holy fucking shit ace you did not have to go that hardπ
This is such a raw grunge album I can’t help but draw comparisons to something like In Utero. The vocals on here are just as uncomfortable and emotional as the darkest moments on that album. The instrumentals are pretty consistently great. The lyrics are the real treat of this record though. I wasn’t quite able to follow along without lyrics to read (just the nature of a lot of music for me) but @HavenV posted a really in ... read more
If I could describe this album in 1 word I would but I’m gonna need 6: The end of the fucking word.
Thats what this album sounds like. It is unbelievably heavy, but it also manages to be devastatingly emotional. The screaming is so painfully poignant and creates a really depressing atmosphere. That’s not even mentioning the riffs. These are some of the heaviest metal riffs I have ever heard. Combined the riffs and screaming vocals make for probably the saddest metal album ... read more
Finally getting around to restarting and finishing this because my first listen was interrupted by a wi fi outage in my area but yea this is definitely my aoty so far. The production is absolutely insane beating out their debut which was already incredibly produced. I also love the vocals. They’re really shittily mixed but, just like most csh albums, that’s the charm of it. It’s also incredibly consistent and has some insane track runs, namely Hug to Pulka. There is so much to ... read more
I am so lonely. All the other Viltrumites are scared of me. Noone talks to me. Noone wants to be my friend-- They think I am unstable. They send me from planet to planet committing atrocities in their name. And as I get better at it, they fear me more and more. I am a victim of my own success. Conquest. I don't even get a real name, only a purpose. I am capable of so much more and noone sees it. Some days I feel so alone I could cry, but I don't. I never do. Because what would be the ... read more
Unimaginably funky beats, some amazing storytelling, some great performances, this album has it all. I genuinely think that Mamacita is the only wrong flaw on here. The highs are unimaginably high with tracks like Da Art of Storytellin parts 1 and 2, Rosa Parks, and Aquemini. It’s taken me way too long to get around to OutKast and I’m happy to finally be checking some of their stuff out. ATliens will probably be next.
Ooooo we’re getting spoiled this year
This is an amazing album from Saba with a lot of great tracks. The production is phenomenal and the performances are really soothing and catchy. I loved Care For Me so when I saw that this was coming out I was really excited and it definitely did not disappoint. Absolutely an aoty contender for me.
Might be giving A Thousand Miles a run for its money as my favorite white women banger
I don’t know what’s worse, the fact that there’s ai vocals on this or the fact that they sound better than Carti’s actual vocals
1000 followers special
Thank you to everyone that choose to follow me. I honestly don’t think this is a milestone I ever thought I’d reach so thank you. I don’t know if I’m too deserving of it though. There are so many people on this site that deserve every follower I have and more so I’m going to just try and name a ... read more
Third year in a row of parannoul peak
While I definitely prefer Sky Hundred this is a very nice post rock album with some really beautiful tracks. It’s really consistent and has some awesome moments throughout. That whole final song is absolutely breathtaking.
