April Album Swap #10
Yea Nick Drake just isn’t rly for me. I appreciated this for what it was but I don’t rly see myself returning to it all that much. That’s kinda something that happens to a lot of folk for me though so it’s definitely not just this. I liked the instrumentals and lyrics but I would be lying if I said I wasn’t at least little bored. So yea nothing like insanely special for me but it’s pretty decent for what it is.
Tbh if it weren’t for the three best songs on here idk if this score would even be in the green for me but holy shit those songs are so good. This albums really inconsistent. A lot of tracks have weird lyrics, lackluster production, and annoying performances. Then there’s songs like fucking Stan which feature some of the best storytelling in hip hop. This album also gets disturbing asf at times. Kim was one of the most uncomfortable listening experiences I’ve ever had. This ... read more

This albums just gorgeous. Some of the most atmospheric and emotional singer-songwriter I’ve ever heard. The lyrics are brimming with loss and tragedy. The instrumentals are slow and quiet but match the vocals perfectly. The vocals on here are also fucking amazing be it the lead vocals or the backing vocals. I love it all. If I did have to bring up a criticism I had it would definitely be the lack of consistency towards the middle of the record however that is well ... read more
Pretty good for the most part and then there’s just a crazy fucking 3 track run from tracks 2 to 4
April Album Swap #8
Nothing too crazy but it’s nice. Very relaxing. This is actually the first reggae album I’ve ever listened to so I’m glad I’m finally getting around to this. Been meaning to for a long time.
April Album Swap #7
Pink Floyd is a band I used to be crazy about and just gradually stopped listening to. I still love them and will gladly listen to a lot of their songs if they come on. Shit I’ll even put on animals or Wywh from time to time. But the point is I got out of them what I needed and I moved on. They didn’t really have too much that interested me outside of their 70s run and eventually even that stopped exciting me the way it used to. This album is really why I never ... read more
I think I might be in love with you walk holy fuck
The first half of this is genuinely some of the greatest music I’ve ever heard. Every single song is an unbelievably hard banger. The second half, while not as good, still has some really high highs and maintains a great level of enjoyability. There’s just something about these vocals and these instrumental and these lyrics all together that just works so well. The vocals especially make this record feel so nostalgic and upbeat. ... read more

Amazing album. I’ve actually heard this before but I only remembered the chorus of the title track so this might as well have been my first listen. Tons of classics on here. It’s brought down by a bit of bloat but that’s okay because there’s a ton of amazing tracks that make up for it. This album is just a ton of fun and everything I love about 70s rock.
Every bit as colorful and lively as the cover would suggest
Get To Heaven pushes pop rock to its absolute limits delivering one of the catchiest and most energetic albums I’ve heard all year. This is absolute peak summer music and from start to finish there is just so much to love about this. It’s so entrancing the way it draws you in. The album makes it so easy to get lost in its beautiful catchy beats and its dreamy vocals. The lyrics are dark and absurd and contrast the fun tone ... read more
This is better than the new Jane remover
April Album Swap #5
Not rly much to this one. It’s relatively uninteresting blues rock with some rly dull instrumentals. It’s not bad by any means it’s just kinda forgettable. Kinda expected more from this due to the bands general reputation but yea there wasn’t rly anything to this. Even riders on the storm felt kinda lackluster for a 97. I do hope to check out their self titled because it looks awesome I just hope it’s more interesting than this.
You’re telling me she made a post rock album?π
Okay this was certainly a lot and I don’t really know if it worked for me all too well. It kinda feels similar to Music by Playboi Carti in the sense that it focuses more on sounding insane and hype than being really too coherent. This is definitely a step up from music but honestly it didn’t do too much for me personally. There’s definitely some good moments on here (Danny had a pretty decent verse and professional ... read more

It’s kinda hard to take this seriously after watching the Minecraft movie I’m sorryπ
But seriously this albums very good. A lot of these songs would fit right in with Deathconsciousness. Just as depressing as I expected it to be and honestly it kinda exceeded my expectations. Plus Connecticut representation is always a good thing
Bcnr return with a new record and a new sound and I genuinely couldn’t be happier
I can see why some people may not be crazy about this being that it is extremely different from the band’s previous two projects. This is their first album since their incredible sophomore release, Ants From Up There, which has found its way into many people’s top 5 including me. This is also their first LP since their former frontman, Issac Wood, left the band. The band took a few years off ... read more
