April Album Swap #27

Way more experimental than I was expecting. It’s definitely a very different album from Dummy which is not a bad thing. I really enjoyed a lot of the tracks off here, and while it doesn’t quite reach the orgasmic heights of Dummy, it still holds its own as a great album. There’s so many really beautiful moments that contrast the abrasive and almost industrial instrumentals. It’s a very diverse record. That being said I definitely prefer the more ... read more

Actually really enjoyed this one. Wasn’t two into it at first but it really clicked at Yeah Right. I think I’ll definitely enjoy the first half more on a second listen. But yea great production, great hooks, some pretty great rapping, all around thsi albums pretty great.πŸ‘

Shit got me feeling like a wine taster or some shit

This albums very pretty and relaxing. It’s really slow paced and feels like it lasts forever which is very fitting for how beautiful it is. That being said it does kinda run out of steam towards the end. Idk if I just got bored but I wasn’t very interested in a lot of the tracks towards the end of this album. Still I really enjoyed this and I’m glad to see so many people seem to love it too.

This is just fucking sad dude.

THIS IS SO COOL WTF

So I just recently relistened to BTTIGTP and loved it so I had some pretty high expectations for this when I saw it in the album swap. Not only did it meet expectations, it also really surprised me. This is very very different from BTTIGTP. It has a wide variety of sounds from powerful hardcore hip hop bangers, to dark industrail tracks, to gorgeous jazz rap pieces. That last one in particular really really hit me hard. I think Keep on Slippin and Look ... read more

Incredible album, dare I say, pleasurable

This albums kinda been on my radar for a while but due to horrible time management skills I only just got around to it now and it’s awesome. Some incredibly fun disco music with some genuinely gorgeous moments. It’s just such a consistent and fun record I’m so glad I got around to it.

Kendrick Lamar - unfinished unreleased.

Prayer is easily one of Kendrick best songs

April Album Swap #23

It’s cool but not the kind of thing I’d really feel the need to return to. I enjoyed my listen however. It’s an incredibly explosive album with some great riffs and some weird vocals. Not entirely sure how to feel about those but I do really like the rest of it. There’s some nice political commentary throughout. Its also pretty consistent even though nothing really stood out among the rest to me.

Lupe Fiasco - Lupe Fiasco's Food & Liquor

Really great album. The production is awesome and there’s some great bars throughout. It’s decently consistent but there’s definitely some songs that stand out from the rest. Also Outro is so wholesome bros just trying to give thanks to his loved ones and his influences and y’all gave it a 66😭

April Album Swap #22

I tried to take this seriously I really did but it’s hard when you have Yamatsuka eye sounding like an angry chihuahua that got into the meds cabinet😭. The instrumentals are hard as fuck (I expected nothing less from Zorn after listening to at the mountain of madness) it really is a shame that the vocals kinda ruin this. That being said it’s absolutely fucking hilarious so I guess I don’t mind too much lmao.

I am absolutely adoring the folkier sounds of these singles. The nautical setting is really interesting and I’m excited to see what it means for the full concept. This is yet another masterpiece from quad and I couldn’t possibly be more excited for this album.

April Album Swap #21

Idk wasn’t as into this one as some of the other metal albums Jayden had given me. Individually the tracks are pretty great but as an album I don’t think it really works. A lot of these riffs feel exactly the same. There is almost no variety here and apparently that’s just the nature of the genre. One thing I did like however were the vocals. The man sounds half dead just like the mf on the cover. Really enjoyed those but apart from that nothing really ... read more

Nice classic metal album. Some great riffs and pretty decent vocals. Stargazer is fucking awesome and easily the standout on this record. It drags a bit in the middle but other than that it’s pretty great.

April Album Swap #19

Hard as fuck oh my god. All the riffs here are insane but what really sets this apart from a lot of other metal albums for me is the vocals. I don’t even know what I love about them but I can’t get enough of them. They’re just so peak. The mesh so well with the instrumentals too. I also love these instrumentals and how they incorporate synths. It’s a really nice touch that adds a lot to the album. Definitely one of the best albums Jayden’s ... read more
