Some of the most impassioned, gorgeous, electrifying hip hop instrumentals I’ve ever heard. The vocal samples are absolutely heavenly especially on the title track. The beats also have a very heavy classic feel to them. Just an absolutely incredible bunch of instrumentals that I thoroughly enjoyed from start to finish.
I don’t really think I went into this with the right expectations. This was much more experimental than I thought it would be and I wasn’t really prepared for it to be honest. This is something I could see liking more in the future but for now this is easily his worst album for me.
This is insanely nostalgic for me. I played chapter two of Fortnite a concerning amount, partially bc of covid, but mainly because I was absolutely addicted. The Travis Scott event was really important to me and I have a ton of great memories going to every single concert with my friends. In terms of the actual album this is surprisingly consistent. The highs are definitely mostly in the first half but the second half doesn’t have too many lows either. NC-17 is really the only song ... read more

Minecraft is possibly the most nostalgic game ever made. Just like I said in my review for volume beta a large part of what makes this game so nostalgic is the music. The gorgeous piano ballads and atmospheric pieces give this game a vibe that really is unmatched. Listening to this really does make you feel like you’re walking through a field or a desert late at night when you should really be asleep. A lot of the best songs on ... read more
WHAT THE FUCK I WASN’T EXPECTING THAT AT ALL FROM MILEY CYRUS๐ญ
I don’t think I had any idea what to expect from this. I think her hits are fine and I had never heard the rest of her catalog but it doesn’t look like anything crazy. When I saw the singles for this getting tons of praise I was definitely intrigued but I never took the time to check them out. So I went into this completely blind and it absolutely blew me away. This is some of the best pop production I’ve ... read more
Some really cool ideas on here. It’s a really interesting sounding album and I think it really works for the most part. Some tracks feel a bit boring in comparison to the rest which is really my main problem with this but I still really enjoyed this. Their vocals are probably the thing that stood out the most to me. This is my first time listening to Yeule and it really surprised me how smooth and catchy their voice is. Adds a really beautiful element to the album.
Some of the coolest improv I’ve ever heard. There’s so much emotion packed into each and every one of these songs yet there is also this constant intensity that looms over every moment on here. I think the easy standout is the title track which is just absolutely spellbinding. It has an absolutely gorgeous piano loop that progresses very similarly to New York I Love You But You’re Bringing Me Down, which if you know me you’d know is my second favorite song ever. ... read more
This is some of the most hauntingly beautiful music ive ever heard. Sufjan is one of the greatest to ever do it and Carrie & Lowell is his best in my opinion. It is one of the rawest and most emotional albums ever made. That makes it all the more impressive that he managed to make most of the songs even more raw and emotional on here. Every song on here is absolutely incredible but the standout is clearly the 14 minute version of Fourth of July. The original is one of the greatest songs ... read more
A beautiful ending to one of my favorite bands best era
This is an amazing send off to the bands “big sound” era. This is the era that got me into the band and their defining sound in my opinion. I do however think this is the perfect time to end it as it has gotten a bit stale. It’s definitely time for something new now. That being said some of the bands most unique tracks are on here. I am a Tower is a gorgeous dance track that was the absolute perfect pick for the single. ... read more

The Beatles are fine ig. They’re not mid like I love saying but they’re also very far from the greatest band ever. The highs on this album in particular are great but there’s a lot of tracks that are just not interesting at all especially in the second half. For every Here Comes the Sun there’s a Because. It just doesn’t feel the most cohesive as an album. The standouts are definitely classics though ... read more

So I kinda listened to this early. Sorry I’m a piece of shit I know. Anyways this album is so fucking good oh my god. The guitar work is fucking absurd. The choruses might be my favorite of any album ever. Serj’s vocals are the best in all of metal. There isn’t a single dull moment in the tracklist. The lyrics are politically charged and well written. There’s genuinely no complaints I have this albums fucking ... read more
So Maruja has gone from a band that made two eps I really enjoyed to a band that has made one of my favorite songs ever in the span of a few months and somehow this ep hasn’t fit anywhere into that yet. This is easily their best ep, being virtually watertight. Really the only thing that holds it back from being perfect is the runtime and that just makes me so fucking excited for their debut album which, if the rest of the album is anywhere near as good as look down on us, will easily be ... read more
Really really relaxing album. The first song can be a bit misleading leaning more into the post hardcore aspects of this album but everything after that is really nice layed back indie rock. The record definitely peaks in the first half with an absolutely incredible three track run from doing the cockroach to trailer trash. That being said the second half is much weaker. Some of the songs like Truckers Atlas go on for way too long and aren’t very interesting. That being said the final ... read more
