April Album Swap #3
Not like the most mind blowing thing ever but it has its moments. You can definitely tell that this had a massive influence on a lot of major post rock bands so it’s really cool to see the roots of the genre. That being said I definitely think that many artists have improved upon a lot of the ideas here and created some of the best music ever made. I enjoyed it for what it is and really liked seeing the start of one of my favorite genres but I don’t rly think ... read more
A nice collection of live songs. Glad to see Mac so high up on the all time charts even if it was just for a few minutes
April Album Swap #2
No. Just no. Music isn’t allowed to be this good.
How the actual fuck does someone even make this. This is genuinely some of the most stunning fucking music I’ve ever heard. Easily the most beautiful shit the genre has to offer. That being said this does suffer from the same problem as Lonely People with Power where the interludes really interrupt the flow. This however isn’t as bad here bc I like these interludes better and the rest of the music is just ... read more

Okay so this is the only album Jayden gave me that I’ve actually heard before but it’s been so long since I listened that it might as well be new to me. Honestly from what I remember of my opinions on my first listen not much has changed for me. It’s not the mists consistent album but the highs are really high and the riffs are really good. I definitely prefer when the album leans into the more brutal and intense side of metal to the softer side which the ... read more
Wow. Seriously just wow. I have never been so caught off guard by an album. I don’t even know what I was expecting but nothing could’ve prepared me for THIS. This is one of the most unique and devastating hip hop albums I’ve ever heard. The concept can only be described as a journey through the psyche of a tortured and broken person. Touching on several dark, internal, and oftentimes hard to deal with issues like substance abuse, overdose, depression, grief, and suicide this ... read more
This is absolutely fucking unbelievable. Genuinely some of the most gorgeous metal I’ve ever heard. The riffs on here are genuinely just fucking insane. The lyrics are hard hitting, being about how different perspectives and influences can shape your world view. It’s just non stop some of the best music I’ve heard all year. I really only have one problem with this to be honest, that being the interludes. They do take away a lot from the flow of the album, especially the second ... read more
My dad’s been talking about this album for a few months and to be honest I don’t know what took me so long to listen to it. This is one of the most gorgeous collections of beats I’ve ever heard. It also has one of the most stacked feature lists in recent memory. The performances are all top notch and match the production super well. This album really does just fire on all cylinders and I’m so glad I checked it out.
I absolutely adored the other two singles but god damn is this something special. Not only my favorite of this batch of singles but one of my favorite songs they’ve made in general. Just pure magic from start to finish. I couldn’t be more excited for this album.
Kendrick’s verse over that sample is like the greatest thing ever
Lowkey better than Trap Queen (I have a crippling addiction to invincible edits please help me🙏)
