Albums I need to listen to to finish the AOTY top 100 - #27
"There are two types of beings in the universe: those who dance, and those who do not." - Drax
I haven’t had this much fun with an album since I heard currents for the first time. This albums just an absolute non stop dance party. Daft Punk is a duo that I never really sat down and listened to but always knew about. They’re probably the most legendary electronic band ever. Almost every song on this album is an ... read more

This albums weird. Lucky for me I like weird. This albums really really funky in the first half. Songs like born under punches and the great curve are infinitely catchy. Of course there is also Once in a Lifetime which is one of the most legendary songs of the 80s. Although that song is a bit of an outlier here. While that song is much more pop centric a lot of this album is derived from new wave and is very minimalistic. The second ... read more

Stay With Me and friends ass album (in all seriousness this album is amazing I was not expecting everything asides from stay with me to be so good)
I want you to think of your favorite song and then I want you to think of how much better this song is. Yea exactly
Incredibly climactic and gorgeous songs, cryptic and nihilistic lyrics, all ending with a mental breakdown. What more could you ask from an album?
Definitely the best out of the three singles still don’t think I’m gonna be too crazy about the album tho
The story telling on this album is absolutely insane
I loved everything about this from start to finish. Almost the entire album has a very mellow vibe to it as it tells real relatable stories of Saba’s experiences growing up in Chicago. The songs tackle themes of grief, death, happiness, and toxicity in an incredibly tasteful and well written way. The record is also strongly supported by the amazing flows and production from Saba. The calming jazz rap beats match the storytelling really ... read more
Some gorgeous tracks on here. Incredible production goes really well with the almost spoken word rapping on a lot of these tracks too. Glad I could listen to at least one good new album today
