A few years after his iconic debut, Snoop dropped this follow-up and don’t get me wrong, it’s still an alright project. honestly though It’s underwhelming as fuck, It feels way more average than amazing Like what the shit happened? We went from a G-FUNKY FUNK FUNK fest to some half-baked West Coast letdown
Now hold up I’m not just here to shit all over it, there are some decent tracks. The title track Doggfather, Snoop actually comes through with a slick verse, reallll ... read more
Before diving into his other snoop projects, let’s start by celebrating this incredible debut! This album truly laid the foundation for the G-FUNK sound that defined the early to mid-90s. It’s packed with infectious beats, smooth flows, and that unmistakable West Coast sound. Snoop Dogg effortlessly showcases his style throughout the record, delivering a short but undeniably funky masterpiece (pun intended) Highlights for me definitely include classics like Gin and Juice, Who Am I? ... read more
Nah we ain't shopping with you on this one. Okay but in all seriousness, It's a big improvement over T.U.I but not as good as his 2 year later project. Its ass but not like ASS ASS.
Before the fame, I'm not really a fan of most of this, its just bad overall. Jeezy never really had a sound until like a couple years later THEN he was bumping shit HIGHLY
This debut album is definitely a blueprint for basically todays "trap" sound and overall I don't have much to say but almost every song on this BANGS really hard, T.I. really had a good ear for the time as well I mean all this shit goes hard fr
Kendrick Lamar – DAMN.
Cubert’s Review – “Personal is Powerful”
DAMN. is Kendrick’s most human album messy, brilliant, loud, quiet, confident, scared, godlike, and guilty all at once. This isn’t about concept arcs or good kid flashbacks this is about Kendrick versus Kendrick. And trust me, he’s throwing punches at himself the entire time.
This album feels like a diary torn up and thrown into a wind tunnel. Every page lands with a different ... read more
Hello! Cubert here, and I'm finally diving into reviewing Kendrick Lamar.
He’s given me so much inspiration as a rapper that I’ve always wondered why I never tackled his albums before.
Nowadays, I consider Section.80 a classic. Even if a few tracks feel a bit dull at times, they still carry weight and meaning.
Those slower moments may not hit as hard sonically, but they add to the album’s overall message and raw storytelling.
Some songs that really resonated with me were ... read more
WAR ALBUM – THE RECREATION" is a major upgrade from the old version. It trims the fat, ditches that boom bap sound, and keeps the best parts. My flows are WAY fucking better here like, c'mon. "Candy Shop" and "So Fly" bring that old 50 Cent vibe, while "Barz" delivers some fun, punchy lyricism by me along with the major features from DOX, D-therpist, and Billy Banks add the perfect flavor to this album which helped the remakes success in so many ... read more
Honestly, out of all the albums I’ve dropped so far, this one stands above "What Is Reality 2." The production takes a different direction, blending boom bap and trap, and honestly, it’s got that style in a way that's similar to my best project to date, There’s a nice range of sounds and flows throughout, and it just feels more refined in my opinion, I’d say this easily ranks as one of my stronger releases since the first what is reality project

not much to say really, just had some fun with the preshow, album soon tho-! should kinda set the tone for the main project ig
best song is game over (checkmate) idk beat was pretty bangin
Recovery came out two years after I was born, and I first really sat with it when I was 13. I hadn’t gone through the same kind of pain Em talks about addiction, fame, loss, but I had my own share of struggles. Even if I couldn’t fully relate to his story, the emotion in the music hit me hard. There’s something about the raw honesty and intensity in this album that made me feel things. It helped me through some dark moments, even when the lyrics weren’t exactly my life. ... read more
Caravaggio's Crackpipe is definitely one of DOX's most recent projects. The Westside Gunn influence is nice, along with the beats giving a lo-fi sound paired with a lot of introspective lyrics. I enjoyed listening through the thing, and recently he's been getting better at rapping and writing. Along with this, it just shows DOX can be a rapper on a solo project without needing features to attempt too wash da man out and he proves it right here on the fucking album
MR. GLOCK KEEP BRINGING THAT MF HEAT!!! 🗣️🗣️🗣️
So he finally dropped Glockaveli, and I gotta say, it was worth the wait. Been needing more Key Glock this year. Before the rollout, I thought singles like "Big Big Money" and "Q-DOGZ" would’ve made the album, but it’s a shame some of the tracks felt a bit too similar
The production and samples went really hard, even though some of them sounded repetitive in terms of style. But songs like "No ... read more
I know I'm LATE a lil bit to this, my bad, my bad, but god damn, THIS DUDE ACTUALLY NEVER MISSED THIS YEAR SO FAR, AND I'M SO FUCKING PUMPED FOR THE NEXT PROJECTS HE FINNA RELEASE, YAHHH!!!!
Alright, after I let that out, the album is really good overall, I liked how the production was, and he def cooks up on the productions!
The snippets were amazing, and I honestly was skeptical, but when the album dropped, I changed my mind! Don't judge quick, fr
The production is really, ... read more
Mmmm one of my more decent records, fun little southside inspired album like young dolph, key glock, lil double o, etc
the deluxe was pretty good too, I still play most the songs on bandlab as this is prob one of my personal favorite projects lol
Edit: Hey everyone! So I’m unfortunately considering removing this review given the situation surrounding d4vd. First off, RIP Celeste, she never deserved what happened to her, and it’s just fucking terrible. With the amount of evidence that’s come out, things really don’t look good for him, and it’s left me feeling uneasy knowing I’ve been listening to someone who might be involved in something this serious. So yeah, those are my thoughts on the drama right ... read more
Since I’m new to reviewing, I’m gonna actually review my favorite rap artist of all time Young Dolph. There’s just something about him I loved his hype adlibs and hustle lyrics always hit. He was just real to me, and that energy was unmatched.
So his recent and probably last ever project, it was a little eh sadly.
Many tracks on Paper Route Frank were awesome though! I really did like this album, and it’s fucking sad to see how he got taken out due to gun violence ... read more
Young Thug Review time!!
And what’s this? An album that features my favorite artist, Young Dolph? and so many other amazing artists who were popping off back then too? Man, this must be a dream (no sarcasm). Sooo this was a pretty good project. Gotta love southern hip-hop.
Young Thug has always been one of those artists you start bopping your head to instantly, and honestly, he’s still pretty good. He’s always had that unique flow even though people call it mumble rap, I ... read more
Heartworms may not be a household name yet, but with Glutton for Punishment, they’re making a strong case to be one of the most exciting indie rock acts of 2025. As someone who’s not typically drawn to the genre, I found it to be a pretty solid album some tracks really hit, while others were just okay. The production, for some reason, reminded me of video game OSTs not necessarily a critique, but it brought something fresh and unique to my ears.
The songs I really enjoyed were Just ... read more
