Please dont compare this record to Bjorks albums.Bjork is on her OWN level and both have their own distinct sound. All of you are entitled to your own opinions but for me these mediocre user reviews (especially that one who gave this album a 47) just dont do this album any justice at all.
In all honesty "The Donor" carried the album well. It just stood out for me a lot. I might need more time for this album to grow on me though. But overall it was a pleasant listen and I'd like to come back to it sometime. ; )
Trying to be as unbiased as possible because this is such an exquisite record. Pilgrimage is the best track but I might change that as I dive into the album more. She's so talented at carving out landscapes just using as minimal sounds as possible. I love this <//3
I love this album so goddamn much. It definitely deserves more recognition and is worth your time. It's the perfect mix between ballad and experimental electronic genres. It lives up to her name. It's a swirling, spiraling cacophony of deafening sounds and romantic pianos. It is calm at times but sometimes it feels as if there's a gun up against your head. Get your headphones ready cause you're in for an experience.
