Don't we think 40 minutes is slightly too long for brutal death metal
I'm definitely back in my death metal phase considering giving this shit a 100
EDIT(98-100): This is my favourite death metal project. It's very rare for riffs or guitar leads or guitar solos to get stuck in my head on a project this fast and interense, but believe me there's multiple of all three that are drilled into my memory. The playing is so technical, so intense, and so brutal it's just a technical marvel on show, that never gives up on its harsh, aggressive sound. ... read more
An unpredictable and terrifying listen all the way through, laying the clear foundations for what will become the best hip hop discography of our generation
I'm glad this fell off after the second track I was worried I was gonna really like it
Little Simz comes through with an album that appears even more personal than SIMBI, and yet doesn't feel preachy or cheesy like I feel SIMBI did. It is however, not afraid to be a little tongue-in-cheek, and doesn't take itself too seriously, yet again a point it has over SIMBI. And yet is traverses a diverse array of emotions and sounds, which I find very impressive for the UK hip-hop scene. And yes, it's a distinctly British album, which I appreciate
It's one of the most immaculately produced hip hop albums of recent years, with a lot of middling rap performances holding it back from greatness. The rapping is not bad by any means, just leaves a little to be desired
The most perfectly produced album I've ever heard, and further proof why doom is the best rapper oat, and experimental hip hop is the best genre of music
Insanely diverse, in equal parts beautiful and aggressive without it feeling unnatural or forced; a very impressive project i can see growing on me in future
This SHOULD be the bare minimum for a Top 40 album
Unfortunately it's not so now I have to glaze this for the rest of my life
Sleep Token have talent, there are some moments on here that are seriously impressive. I was loving the opening track until they threw in a trap verse, and the black metal-esque breakdown on Caramel is phenomenal, way better than I gave it credit for. But they just try to blend too much stuff together and aren't very good at a lot of it, ESPECIALLY the pop. If these guys made a full on black metal album, people would love it, because they have the skill, they're just tied to this ... read more
This album is kind of phenomenal, it's rare for Ariana to have so many different ideas on a single project and to actually interweave them seamlessly. I'd argue every song on this project is a hit, and the eccentricity here really comes off quite enjoyable. A really, really great modern pop album.
