Such an incredible Greatest Hits album, It's not every favourite track but that's just because they have so many that there has to be a second album. It is genuinely impressive as to how good the tracks on here are, there are many other compilation albums that are great but usually those are because they include nearly all the tracks from the top 2 albums and have several discs. This is a single 56 minute album, I genuinely don't think there is a single better genuine Greatest ... read more
What an album, it immediately comes out swinging by starting with Mis-Shapes and then never backs down. Not only are there some incredible songs on this it's also feels very complete, any of the tracks I don't think are perfect likely just haven't clicked with me yet but are still straight up great. I love Mis-Shapes, Common People, Disco 2000, F.C.L., Underwear and Monday Morning so much. Bar Italia is also a great closing track.

Insanely overrated and disappointing. I went in thinking I would enjoy it as I like Purple Rain and When Doves Cry and by what other people say about this album you would assume every track on it would be on the same level but that unfortunately just isn't true at all.
I found the first half of the album to be either bad or boring and forgettable. There is nothing there that I am particularly fond of and I do not care that it was revolutionary for the time because that just means it was ... read more
Unapologetically loud and angry, there are noisy albums and then there are noisy albums where the noise feels extremely fitting and I think this is definitely in that category. If there was anything that didn't feel right about the album like an odd track placement I didn't notice it because it would have felt like a part of the experience listening to XTRMNTR, it's beautiful chaos. Every track is unique and I don't mean it in a 'album doesn't feel like a ... read more
It feels good for the ears, something I am definitely going to slap on again in the future. All of the tracks are very solid and equal to one another whilst also being unique, no track is a definitive best but in a good way which is an accomplishment.
Movin' On Up is good but I felt like it needed something else in it to be a really perfect track, Damage redeemed itself with the guitar at the end because I wasn't the biggest fan of it at the start. Higher Than the Sun and Shine Like ... read more
It's certainly different and whilst The Resistance changed what Muse sound like Simulation Theory throws even that out of the window to try something different with synths and a more upbeat poppy sound. Lyrically it's still Muse and they have not changed one bit with singing about the current political climate and oppression.
Weirdly I think the album would be viewed differently if they went with a different album cover design, I think it comes across as very cheesy and does not help ... read more
Drones really feels like the perfect album that demonstrates the mix of both the noise from the older Muse albums and the vibe/sound of the newer albums. I think Drones as an album perfectly matches them both whilst also being a great modern anti-war album that focuses on the dehumanisation and lack of connection to the consequences of the tools used, like drones, in modern conflict.
Dead Inside is such a good opener, and perfectly demonstrates the sound of new and old whilst being a banger. ... read more
The 2nd Law is a weird outlier personally because it was a later Muse album I had trouble remembering the sound of, before I only had this issue with their earlier more noisy/chaotic albums as they were like that but I shouldn't have this issue with a post The Resistance album.
The first three are the best Supremacy is a sick spy thriller sounding track, Madness is a banger and Panic Station is an upbeat bop. However the album kind of falls off after.
Survivial is kind of cool but I ... read more
The resistance is a good album, it was always going to be hard to beat Black Hols and Revelations and although I do like the vibe it isn't quite as good. Still good though and that's probably because it opens straight off with Uprising which is crazy. An incredibly sick track and easily one of my favourites from them. It's also one of those palatable tracks that won't scare your family members or friends if you put it on the speaker because it isn't as harsh, it's ... read more
THANK YOU GOD FOR BRITISH PEOPLE SO MUSE EXIST. It's one of those albums where I am like "There is no way the album was that good" and then I listen to it again and I am proven WRONG. Black Hones and Revelations is an insanely good album and a highlight in their career.
Starlight is straight up amazing, it's so beautiful and then when it ends you get Supermassive Black Hole which is such a banger. All of the tracks are able to stand on their own, everything is varied enough ... read more
What an album, Absolution is an outstanding album with ZERO tracks that disappoint. Not a single track is leaning towards average or something you need to be in the mood to like. I think it's a serious achievement to have all 14 tracks be that good because there are many other albums where a section of the album is at an extremely high level and it's just let down by a single section or song.
There are so many tracks that deserve talking about specifically, one odd one to bring up ... read more
Like Showbiz I couldn't really remember any of the tracks, it just never stuck with me. I do like it, even ignoring the live stuff on the second disc it's a good B-Side album. Map of Your Head is very nice to listen to, Shrinking Universe sounds pretty rad. Ashamed is a bit too harsh for me. It ending with Hyper Chondriac Music is great, really good track to end on. It being a more melancholic version of Hyper Music slaps, an extremely good alternative version.

I needed to listen to it 5 times to finally get it, before this 5th play I could not remember a single track from it but now hopefully a few will stick. It's a very loud and messy album, but I mean that in a positive way. It's very chaotic and beautiful and although on my first few plays my main complaint was the same-ishness of the tracks due to how chaotic and loud nearly all of them are I do think they are varied enough to where every track can stand on their own.

I love Origin of Symmetry, I love the instrumentals, I love it lyrically and I love the album art. It took me a while to really like it because like with Showbiz it's a bit noisy but it's a bit more toned down and palatable in this album.
I love New Born so much it's such a hell of an opener like WOW. The end of Citizen Erased is very beautiful, it sounds amazing and I love the lyrics. Feeling Good is a banging cover and Megalomania feels like it's from Showbiz, it has that ... read more
It's alright, sort of went by in a blur. Simultaneously enjoyable and only just alright enough to have on and not pay attention to. I found myself enjoying the first three tracks but after that I was already bored of listening to it. tracks 4 and 5 aren't my cup of tea at all and I don't really like the vibe of 9 at that much. It's short enough to where I can't hate it because it didn't take up too much of my time but I know if it went on for longer I seriously ... read more
I don't think it was necessary or wanted but it makes my ears feel good so I feel like I can't complain too much.
It starts off with Things Left Unsaid peaking and being far too loud and it's the only Pink Floyd track I have had to reduce the volume on to remain comfortable. Allons-y 1 to 2 is peak, one of the most memorable bits of the whole album and it just really puts a smile on my face especially 2. Talkin' Hawkin' instrumentally is great but I feel like the ... read more
It's quite a good live album, perfect amount of crowd noises where it's not too over the top but they are present. You really can't hate it as even if you don't like any of the Gilmour stuff it includes the entirety of The Dark Side of the Moon live. One of my favourite songs to see live is The Great Gig in the Sky because it's one thing to hear the song recorded from a studio but it's another thing for it to be a raw act, the performer certainly delivers. Live ... read more
I do think if this was left as the final album it would be viewed in a better light but unfortunately having an album that is meant to have a tone of finality not be your real final album doesn't play well. Like with AMLoR if Gilmour wasn't a guitar god I don't think I would like the album that much as lyrically it just does not hit, even less than AMLoR as I do quite like some of the lyrics on that album. I don't think it's all her fault but it's very clear that ... read more
From what is basically a Roger Waters solo album to a David Gilmour solo album, for a normal listen it is far more palatable as there is no obvious political tone bar The Dogs of War. Even then that only extends to Gilmour's far safer and more toned down political views and you can really feel that in how the tracks pails in comparison to anything on Animals as there isn't as much bite in this dog. The sound heavily carries the track so it's still a banger.

It's essentially a Roger Waters solo album but with the other members backing, this is the main reason why people will either love or hate it. As someone who is more of a Watersheep than a Gilmie I do quite like this album, it's a very emotional anti war concept album and I love it for that. Nobody is slapping this on speakers with people around but that's the same for The Wall as it just isn't appropriate or uplifting. The album is straight up an extension of The Wall but ... read more
