Woodkid - To Ashes and Blood
88

Woodkid the king is back, though this track doesn't quite pull off the emotion and cinematic grandiose that Guns for Hire did

alt-J - Relaxer
75

Alright, final opinion incoming. If I disregard House of The Rising Sun and Hit Me Like That Snare entirely(which I always skip on repeat listens), the album is an 82. With them included, however, it's only a 70. So, to be fair to my fellow Alt-J fans that love this album, I'll give it a 75

Strongest: In Cold Blood, Adeline, Pleader
Weakest: Hit Me Like That Snare, House of The Rising Sun

The Score - Last Legends
33

Hey look, cool album art! Just don't listen to the music or pay attention to its lyrics and you just might enjoy the album!

half•alive - Songs
70

Decent, but likely not gonna break the "half alive features = Weakest links to their respective albums" trend

Haley Heynderickx - Seed of a Seed
81

Doesn't live up to the debuts highs, but does live up to its standard of consistency.

Strongest: Seed of a Seed, Mouth of a Flower
Weakest: Gemini

My Terrible Friend - I Tried to Be Kind
76

That otter may act cute, but it's plotting on seducing and murdering a professor in biology

Spoon - Memory Dust
80

By far the most flattering picture you can paint of Spoon is introducing someone to the band through this ep(just like me) only to have them disappointed by the rest of Spoon's discography :/

Porter Robinson - Nurture
66

remind me to come back to this in 2 weeks

half•alive - TIME 2
100

Speaks to the soul, and I wish I had come around to it sooner

BANNERS - Banners
95

Fantastic debut from BANNERS, I only wish these tracks and this musical character could've been made unto its own LP

Strongest: Back when we had nothing, Shine a Light
Weakest: Gold Dust

Owl City - Car Trouble
78

Y'all haters gotta chill

Everything Everything - Get To Heaven
66

This album really needed more variety to spice it up. When your album peaks with the first track, you know you gotta switch it up a bit. Nevertheless, not bad, but not exceptional either

Strongest: To The Blade, Summer/Sun/Winter/Dread
Weakest: Zero Pharoah, Warm Healer

Imagine Dragons - Take Me to the Beach
40

I'm the only one even here. Perhaps I should just take the hint :/

Saint Motel - Steady Hand
72

Y'know what, their last few albums may not have done anything for me, but I'll give this next one a shot

Imagine Dragons - Take Me to the Beach
48

Just listen to automatic from Half•Alive

It's neat that the past few features got to sing parts in their own languages, but I could not care less about TMTTB so this does nothing for me. I don't get how this of all songs is what the ID fans and people at large latched onto from LOOM. Sure the pickings on that album are slim, but are they THAT slim?

half•alive - Automatic
92

With Sophie's House embracing the pop, I did not expect this to fully embrace the rock. Honestly, I know I'm gonna be vibing with these puppets for the rest of the year!

Kanye West - The College Dropout
NR

Unfortunate that I'll never be able to enjoy any of this music with the knowledge that Kanye is basically a neo-nazi

AJR - The Maybe Man
38

If you reeeeeeaaaaallllyyyy wanna hear some #relatable lyrics with somewhat "quirky" instrumentation, JUST LISTEN TO HALF ALIVE. They know how to produce music, and they know how to make grounded, thought provoking lyrics. Nevertheless, enjoy what you will; I'll agree that some people are just way too violently despicable to this band.

P.S: There really are some solid tracks on this album, I just have to say I've grown our of this phase of my musical lifespan

Strongest: ... read more

Ragged Insomnia - Imagine Dragons
70

I'll be honest, they really ought to release more side projects under this alias, beyond commercial viability or artistic intent, just for fun.
