yeesh, this was a roller coaster to listen to. at first was like "ok a sold 55" then AUSSIE came on and... jesus. I got so depressed listening to AUSSIE and BUTTHEAD because I felt like I did listening to 'Relapse' and 'Recovery'. I was listening to lyrics just as bad and annoying voices all over again. it began to go down to nearly a 30. but then MUSHROOM came on and damn the beginning had me back in... until the annoying voices returned. MUSHROOM is solid but the indian accent... ... read more
I wish I was aborted. I'm a disgrace to my entire lineage as all mine and their decisions and lives lead to me listening to this. fuck my ancestors for inadvertently causing me to listen to this garbage. only somewhat OK songs are "who am i" and "Slingshot". "Who am i" had some heartfelt lyrics about his friends death, the rest is trash. "slingshot" has a good beat, that's it.
way over hated. not horrible, not amazing. just alright, kind of good. best listened to as it's supposed to be, in the background. if people actually cared this much about lyrics when it came to other big artist then nirvana and train would be crucified. stop with the double standard bullshit and hate train on artists that don't deserve it.
gave it a 60 but took away 5 points for "staring at the sky", another 1 point for "one minute".
"Train Food" was a surprisingly good song.
y'all are fucking trippin for thinking this is his worst album. while it's nothing near 'The Eminem Show' or 'The MMLP' it's not bad either. the worst part is some of the flows come off bad or sometimes even horribly and I don't really like eminem trying rock music out, but this album isn't that bad. the audio is sometimes bad and sounds like he isn't even facing the mic but (and maybe I've been listen to too much underground/low quality rap) I don't mind it. the really really bad lines aren't ... read more
This is honestly not as bad as I originally rated it. I'm still not the biggest fan of quite a few songs (I honestly don't get the love for Bad Guy) but it's mostly good.
track reviews
lost - 70, no lyrics but sets up the feeling of the album amazingly.
wayback - 100, most underrated song from the album. his lyrics about seeing the future and feeling small are great. and this is (I'm pretty sure) the first time KAAN has talked about being underrated and being sad/scared of it.
Pino - 95 we here something new from KAAN hear. he talks about falling off and being underrated for the rest of his career. it's a very heartfelt song and is amazing.
simonal - 85, ... read more
the best album 21 savage has made (not that that's saying much). 'a lot' is the standout song on this project, with 21 "reflecting on his life and wondering if it was worth it or not" with such a hard-hitting message and cole only added to how great the song is. I did end up finding many of the songs unmemorable but still is a good album. I also want to add that 'monster' is a massive stand-out along-side 'a lot' (for very similar reasons). an amazing look at racism and police brutality. at points the sameness of the production gets old but still holds up today as an amazing album.
great album, a lot more real tracks on it with plenty of amazing and memorable songs.
has a few good songs one great song and the rest are bad or subpar.
has good production and an interesting story, but it isn't all that lyrically interesting. has its moments but for the most part, is forgettable.
